The Matrix (1999)

Continuity mistake: After Neo and Trinity kill all the agents with the helicopter when they rescue Morpheus, you see Morpheus breaking the chain of his handcuffs. He still has the cuffs on his wrists. But then in the next shot of him, the handcuffs are gone.

Continuity mistake: When Trinity is speaking to Neo near the end of the film when he is "dead", her hair falls from behind her ears then goes back again then is slightly off again. (01:59:05)

Continuity mistake: When Neo is about to be interrogated, Agent Smith throws Neo's file onto the table. In this shot, the piece of cord holding the file together points upwards, moments later it faces to the side. (00:16:35)

Continuity mistake: When Trinity leaves the matrix at the start through the phone booth, the garbage truck driven by the agents rams the phone booth and punches a big hole in the brick wall. When the truck reverses there is no visible damage to the truck, not even a broken headlight, even though it has just crushed a phone booth and a brick wall. (00:05:40)

Continuity mistake: When Neo tells tank that they need "Guns, lots of guns" he cocks the MP5 that he picks from the rack. It is matte black, but when the camera focuses in, it is shiny and reflective. (01:34:55)

Continuity mistake: When Trinity is making a getaway from the agents, she is not carrying a weapon, neither is there a sign of one. But after she jumps over to the next building, she magically pulls two big handguns out of her leather suit. (00:05:00)

Continuity mistake: When Neo falls during the jump program, after he finally lands on the concrete his left arm sleeve is pulled down midway. The camera then does a close-up of Neo, and his shirt has fixed itself and is now to his wrist. (00:52:30)

Continuity mistake: In the very beginning when the green computer writing comes up while Trinity is making her call it says it's about 13:00 hours, but when she's running on the rooftops 5 minutes later, it's more like 1:00 am. (00:00:40)

Continuity mistake: Near the end when Neo runs and jumps into Agent Smith's body, the other two agents are shown standing at the end of the hallway. If you look closely at the shot of the agents after Agent Smith explodes, the tie clip of the agent on the left side of the screen is angled diagonally across his tie. Neo flexes the walls, and in the next shot of the agents the tie clip has returned to where it should be - horizontally across the tie. (02:01:20)

Continuity mistake: As Neo awakens inside his "goo tube", a few from overheard shows him raising his arms against the covering of his tank. The shot changes to one from the front and suddenly Neo is in a sitting position and raising his arms up as he breaks the covering. When Neo was first raising his arms, he was laying on his back. (00:31:15)

Continuity mistake: When Neo first enters the construct, Morpehus and Tank plug him in. In the construct, Neo turns around a second after being plugged in, and Morpheus is now standing there. There's no way he could have loaded up that fast. (00:37:45)

Continuity mistake: When Neo is in the helicopter, shooting the gatling gun into the room where Morpheus is being held, there is a shot from inside the helicopter where you can see the room is empty for a full second. This happens again a few seconds later. (01:48:00)

Continuity mistake: When the agent is running after Trinity, Trinity gets to the end of the roof and runs on. Notice that the end of the roof is red, or a rusty like colour, but when when the agent starts shooting at her, it's turned from red back to probably its original colour of silver. (00:04:15)

Continuity mistake: The subway train that "kills" Agent Smith doesn't pull away from the platform. It simply disappears.

Continuity mistake: As Neo catches Morpheus jumping from the shot out window, Neo holds on to him by his wrist covered by his shirt cuff. In subsequent shots, Neo is shown holding Morpheus' bare wrist, his cuff near his elbow. (01:49:42)

Continuity mistake: After Neo gets shot on the rooftop you see a wound on his right shoulder. However when he was fighting Smith in the subway station, it was gone (seen when he is standing up wiping blood from mouth). Then it comes back when he is running from the agents.

Continuity mistake: When Neo steals the guy's mobile phone there is a shot looking back at the man (agent Smith) waving his arm . On the pavement there a few people going both ways. When the close up of Smith happens there are loads of people going left to right and more people on the right side of the screen. (01:54:28)

Continuity mistake: At the subway station Smith shoots at Trinity. He destroys the phone receiver and the top half goes flying. But when Neo looks at it, it's hanging down with the top half still attached. (01:49:25)

Continuity mistake: When Neo and Morpheus are inside the hotel room and Morpheus is giving the offer to Neo, the reflection in either part of his shades shows that he is holding his hands away from each other. Yet, when Neo goes to pick up the red pill, they are close together, then we see them further apart from the reflection inside the shades. (00:28:15)

Continuity mistake: When Neo is following Morpheus' instruction to escape the agents who have come to arrest him at work, the location of the knot in his tie changes - note the pattern.
