Question: How does Ben Hildebrand die? Only his skeleton is shown in while Billie removes the parasail. He would not have been killed and eaten by a dinosaur because his skeletal remains are still there, and he wouldn't have been strangulated as he was talking to Eric as per the video.
Answer: Raptors.
Answer: Compisigthus or compies would have done the trick.
Question: In the end, the Pterosaurs fly away from Isla Sorna for a new home. Where on Earth would they go and wouldn't they attack and kill any human or animal there?
Answer: The island was located west of Costa Rica in the pacific so its likely they are headed for the Americas or Galapagos islands. They won't likely start hunting on animals and humans as they are thought to be fish eaters and thus would stay near the coast and avoid contact with land animals, especially predators. The reason they attack the humans in the bird cage is because of malnutrition and captivity related stress.
Wrong argument, because in Jurassic World, we see them attacking humans.
For the same reason I have given earlier, probably. You don't see them eating humans in any case.
Question: Why didn't Dr Grant hide the eggs somewhere where the raptors could've sniffed them out? It would've bought them some time as the raptors would then have spent their time looking for the eggs.
Answer: Grant does think about dropping the eggs out of a window but decides to keep them. Paul asks Grant: "What if they catch us with them?" to which Grant replies: "What if they catch us without them?" He's implying that the eggs will stop the Raptors attacking them as the Raptors wouldn't want to risk damaging the eggs. If they didn't have the eggs with them, the Raptors wouldn't think twice about attacking them.
Answer: That probably would have made more sense, but it would have been a less dramatic ending where the raptors confront everyone. The whole concept of the raptors hunting down a few missing eggs out of a large clutch is ridiculous. It's all about storytelling, not reality.
Also, I would like to point out that people don't always think of an obvious, practical solution when a situation is actually happening: "Hindsight is 20/20." This might be a sci-fi movie but it happens in reality. It's easy to analyze a situation as an outsider and say what should have been done.
Question: Dr Grant makes an SOS call to Ellie via the Sat phone. I think I have the sequence correct: There was such a delay in her getting to the phone that they got disconnected. She then dials 3 digits on the phone and then hears Dr Grants cryptic cry for help. She calls him back. Did she dial *69 to reconnect with him, which I don't think you can do with a Sat phone, or dial a code that immediately connected them? Anybody know about Sat phones or have any clues or answers to this scene?
Answer: I think you are right that *69 does not work on a SAT phone, but I can't offer anything else. You may have pointed out a plot hole.
We see Ellie immediately start dialling numbers. We don't know she stopped at 3, but she was likely calling her husband or whatever connections she had in order to send the military after the group. Calling him back would've been a waste of time.
Question: I have to question what killed the speedboat's crew at the beginning of the movie. I don't think the Pteradons would be that fast in attacking and they were locked in the cage. I doubt the Spinosaurus would go that far out to sea and kill the people that quickly. What other dino(s) could have done it out at sea and so fast (and were so messy eaters)?
Answer: This passage isn't very satisfying. There certainly were a large number of predatory marine reptiles, but they would have difficulty with a speeding boat, and if they were out in the water, why would they stay just around the island? The Pterosaurs would have been visible, even if they were loose to attack. The Spinosaurus and other terrestrial dinosaurs might paddle across shallow water, but they're not going to grab people off a moving speedboat. Effective scene but hard to correlate to the local lifeforms.
It was pterosaurs. They were already hanging out in the fog. Apparently some were already loose. It even specifically says it's them in either a deleted scene towards the end of the movie, or an alternate ending, when the group gets to the shore and sees the crashed speedboat. It says something like grant recognizes (yes, paleontologists know what pterosaur footprints/tracks look like), or deduces that the prints/scratches/damage appear to be from pterosaurs.

Question: When the boat is sinking and everyone is in the cage, what does Grant say to Ellie on the satellite phone and how does she know what it means and which island to go to out of the five?
Answer: He says "The River, Site B." Obvisouly there is only one main river on Site B (the island). Ellie was smart enough to figure it out.
But how does she get a US navy battle group to turn up? Previously the US embassy wouldn't send anyone for a missing child, but a fleet for an old man off a very garbled phone call? As far as I remember, she had a fairly ordinary job/life in a suburb of the America.
Ellie's husband is Mark Degler, who works at the State Department, and it's with his connections that the rescue gets underway. Early in the movie Ellie told Grant he's bad about asking for help, and he should ask her anything anytime. Near the end, before their phone line was cut off, Ellie had heard the dinosaur roar and screams, so she knew Grant was in trouble.
I think it has something to do with what her husband does for a living.
Answer: Ellie's husband is in treaties and diplomatic relations and would be able to get a rescue group sent.
Corrected entry: How was Ben killed? He was stuck in a tree, so the smaller dinosaurs couldn't reach him. You can see that the skeleton's legs are missing, which makes you think of a t-rex or spinosaurus, but surely that would have torn the whole body down from the tree.
Correction: He could easily have died in the tree from exposure, hunger, disease or any reason. He would start to decompose, scavengers would get to him, and this would cause his legs to drop to the ground, where they would be carried away by other animals. For instance.
Correction: Supposedly a scene was removed which involved Eric recording Ben's death. In this scene Ben was attacked by the velociraptor, since they landed next to their nest, but didn't attack Eric since Been was stuck in the tree making him an easier target. In my opinion: I believe after being attacked and losing his legs he pulled himself up into the trees but would have bled out very quickly.
Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film, when the boat crew is killed, why isn't the boat itself destroyed? Yes, the top is a bit damaged but the main body of the boat is fine. A creature that could kill the whole crew in that short space of time would surely damage the rest of the boat as well. Even a modern day crocodile can easily smash a hole in the side of a small boat just using its tail.
Correction: The Pterosaurs only attack the humans for invading their territory (and in the process, they damage the flimsy roof of the boat that was sheltering a human). They were not out to destroy a boat.
Is it ever explicitly stated anywhere what dinosaur attacks the boat?
In the original script it said that there were to also be scenes where Grant sees foot prints and other evidence. The opening shot was done before the final script was done. They used that scene for the opening and did not re-shoot it.
Not to mention that a crocodile is extremely strong and tough, while any flying animal would be considerably less so.
Correction: It was said that they wanted to have it be the pterosaurs who attacked the boat but cut the scene as it conflicted with the script since they were still locked in the cage at the time.
Corrected entry: How is it that Billy manages to beat the whole group in getting to the shore when they left him a good 12 hour boat trip away? I'm sure the navy didn't venture into the pteranodon cage to get him and then go back out to the shore.
Correction: After the characters escape the bird cage you see the deadbolt thing open. This is the way of foreshadowing that Billy escaped because it shows that he opened the lock. He beat everyone to the beach because they had to stop in the fight with the spino and were delayed by the egg-giving-up ceremony.
But he was badly injured; how could he have moved that quickly?
Correction: You see Billy went down a waterfall. What is more likely is that InGen tapped into a water system to fill the area for fish. This could make 2 exits. The one Billy gets carried down (as all rivers lead to the ocean) and the one Grant swims down. As the military doesn't know where to look and a foot search is out of the question, the military likely went up the rivers and found Billy, who could have told them to check the other side, which is why there is military so close to where Grant and the others show up.
Corrected entry: How did that guy in the parachute die? We know they were both alive when they landed, because they filmed it. The boy gets down, the camera gets turned off just before the other guy is about to climb down, then...what?
Correction: It is possible for the velociraptors to attack Ben right after he turns off the camera, and before he was able to get down.
Then wouldn't Eric be attacked too?
No, Eric might have left to try and find something to get Ben down. He might not have even been in ear shot to hear screams.
What probably happened after Ben dropped the camera the raptors screeched and Eric hid. Then Ben was attacked.

Answer: While the movie doesn't explain this, it most certainly wasn't a dinosaur (since a carnivorous dinosaur would eat him). However, in Jurassic Park Adventures: Survivor, he dies from internal injuries due to the rough "landing".

I have a theory that it was a dinosaur that spits acid.
