Angels in the Outfield

Factual error: After Hemmerling pinch-hits for Mitchell, it shows the scoreboard adding an absurdly huge number of errors. By rule, there couldn't have been more than four errors on the play: one error to allow him to reach first, another error for him to get to second, an error to reach third, and one to score.

Factual error: Roger's dad says when the "Angels win the pennant." During the last final scene/regular season game, after the win, Ranch Wilder announces that "the Angels won the pennant." They would have to have won the American League Championship Series in order to win the pennant.

Continuity mistake: In one of the first games the movie shows, announcer Ranch Wilder has a bruise near his eye. This bruise disappears the following day, and is never heard of again at any point in the rest of the film.

Suggested correction: The bruise did not disappear the following day. It is noticeable on him while he's in the press box at a following game. It's at 20:38 into the movie. You can then see it from 20:38 up until 20:46.

David Montagne: You drink coffee?
Roger Bomman: Yeah, of course. All the time.
JP: Yeah, all the time! What do you think we are? Little kids or something? Now give me a cup or I'll scream.

Question: At the end of the movie George Knox adopts PJ, and Roger. Wouldn't George have had to meet with a social worker before adopting them?

Answer: Maybe he did offscreen?

dizzyd

I meant that as a yes or no question.

Then that answers the question. We also don't know WHEN he did it, so it's entirely possible that he visited with one. We also don't find out that he adopted both Roger and JP because it was supposed to be a surprise, meaning that we wouldn't find out until that moment.

It feels like the question was about the legal steps needed to take, not did he do them or not. Does an individual in his situation need to visit a social worker?
