Visible crew/equipment: When Peter first arrives at the Lost Boys hideout, as he stands up (and the shot moves backwards), you can see the cameras shadow on the ground on the far left side of the screen. (00:49:29)

Jack Vaughan

Continuity mistake: When Peter first walks into the clearing of the Lost Boys hideout, there is a vine hanging from the tree that is touching the floor (which Peter steps into) and the vine has excess which is curled up in a large pile on the ground. But when it shows Peter stepping into the vine, it is only curled round in one circle - not the large pile it was beforehand. (00:49:40)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Peter walks into the clearing at the Lost Boys hideout, he walks forward and steps his left leg into a vine tip which is laying on the floor. This causes the vine to wrap around his ankle and pull him up into the air. However as he is pulled up, the vine is now wrapped around his RIGHT leg. (00:49:45)

Hamster

Revealing mistake: When Tinkerbell is waking up all the Lost Boys and announcing Peter Pan's return, we see a shot in which Tink flies around a curly-headed boy. When she does, you can see the wire used to move the figure around his head. It is most visible when the boy turns his head toward the right side of the screen. (00:50:20)

Continuity mistake: When Rufio and the Lost Boys are circling Peter (after he has dropped in their hideout), Rufio is standing in front of him brandishing his sword. In one shot he holds the sword out above him but in the next shot he is holding it down by his side. (00:51:45)

Hamster

Visible crew/equipment: When the Lost Boys begin to chase Peter around their hideout there is a shot that starts high up in the trees and moves down as it closes in on Peter running from the kids. As the shot passes a support beam attached to the track that Rufio's sail-ship runs on you can see the camera's shadow cast on the support. (00:52:22)

Jack Vaughan

Continuity mistake: After Peter has been shot with the goo arrows (which stain his shirt) after they hit his chest, in the very next shot the positions of the arrows on his chest have changed to different places than they were previously. (00:52:35)

Hamster

Revealing mistake: In the shot of Tinkerbell flying across the screen with the vine (to trip up the Lost Boy twins) if you look closely you can see the wire that is attached to the vine, which is being used to pull it across. (00:52:50)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Peter is shot with the arrows, he has big patches of red, blue, yellow and green goop on his shirt. The patches are all big and touch each other, yet when Peter runs from the sniffing flowers, the stains are all smaller. (00:53:10 - 00:53:45)

Hamster

Visible crew/equipment: After one Lost Boy fires an arrow at Peter's butt, you can see a thin piece of fishing wire that hangs past the bow and in front of the Lost Boy, either used to launch or control the arrow. (00:53:40)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Peter first enters the Lost Boys' urban-style playground, he is suddenly startled by Lost Boys on skateboards that begin to circle him. But in the next shot focusing on one Lost Boy dunking a basketball through the hoop, you can see Peter in the background, only now the Lost Boys that were skating around him have disappeared. (00:54:20)

Hamster

Audio problem: When Rufio withdraws his sword from the leather pouch he has tied around his leg (as he brings it out to brandish against Peter) it makes the sound of metal being withdrawn from a metal sheath, but the pouch is leather and couldn't allow the sword to make that sound effect. (00:54:40)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When the little Lost Boy begins to "inspect" Peter by tugging at his face and whatnot, in the first shot as he pulls Peter's cheeks the bracelet that he has around his wrist has a feather attached to it which is at the top of his wrist. In the next shot the bracelet has suddenly rotated, as the feather is now at the bottom (under his wrist). (00:56:10)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Smee and Hook talk alone in the ship, Smee walks to the table, picks up a plate, and starts picking up food. Then it cuts and now Smee is holding the plate, with a red napkin underneath it which wasn't there previously. (00:58:45)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Smee and Captain Hook are alone on the ship at night, Smee stands up just after eating chicken off his plate. His blue bandana hangs down his left shoulder near his plate. However, after a shot of Hook when it faces Smee again his bandana is now short, just resting on his left shoulder. (00:58:50)

Continuity mistake: When Hook is talking to Smee about the subject of Peter Pan (as Smee collects food from the table), Hook holds up his hooked hand and stares at it as he is talking. As the shots differ from wide views of the room to closeups of Hook, the lace cuff that surrounds his hooked hand keeps differing in its position. (00:59:20)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Hook gets his gun to attempt suicide, Smee runs to the model Neverland, and his sleeves are rolled all the way up his arms, yet when it cuts and he grabs the small boat from the water, his sleeves are rolled down to his wrists. (00:59:45)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Smee is bent over at the water tank that has Hook's toy ships in it, in one shot as we see the shot with Hook's back facing the camera, Smee's bandana ties both hang in front of his shoulder. In the following shot the ties are now differently positioned, with one folded back over his shoulder. (01:00:05)

Hamster

Revealing mistake: When Smee stops Hook from his suicide attempt, the gun is accidentally shot off and the bullet hits one of the small model ships in Hook's little water tank. When it shows the ship (on fire) sinking down under the water, you can see the small rod devices that are actually pulling the ship down into the water. (01:01:05)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Hook is sitting in his chair with the vanity tables at either side of him (with several mirrors on each table), we can see that there are two pots on each vanity table. Each pot has a small grey powder-ball sitting on top of it, which has red ribbons attached to it. During the scene the balls/ribbons differ in position and then at the very end of the scene (when Hook begins laughing at his plan to make Jack and Maggie love him) both of the grey powder balls have vanished. (01:01:20)

Hamster

Hook: Prepare to die, Peter Pan!
Peter: To die would be a grand adventure!
Hook: Death is the only adventure you have left!

Trivia: The name 'Wendy' was popularised for girls by the play of Peter Pan - JM Barrie adapted it from the way a neighbour's daughter mispronounced "friend." However, prior to PP, Wendy was a unisex nickname for both Gwendolyn and Wendell, also a name in its own right to a limited degree. More info here: http://www.wendy.com/wendyweb/history.html.

Question: 1. How did Hook travel to London to kidnap Peter's children? 2. How is it Hook can know with certainty who Peter's kids are, but he doesn't know that Peter Banning is supposed to be Peter Pan? Wouldn't he have to have been following or spying on the family for some time know who the kids are in the first place? 3. How is Hook not able to find where the Lost Boys are hiding when Neverland is a single island?

Phaneron

Answer: 1) Though it is never fully explained, the mystical way Peter Pan would come and go from Never land. 2) It was Smee who was doing the spying. When Hook asked Smee, "This can't be my great and worthy foe?" Smee replied, "I have all the information here." He had a file of paper work on Peter. 3) Hook knew where the Lost Boys were, When Peter asked, what happened to the Never Tree. Tinkerbell said, "Hook burned it when you didn't come back." He considered the Lost Boys not worth the effort. It was Peter, he wanted.
