Final Destination 3

Question: Why didn't Julie tell Wendy that she was on the rollercoaster and then thank her for the warning that led her and her friend to get off? I just find it really odd that Julie never bothered to tell her own sister that she was on the ride.

Answer: Because Julie and her friend weren't supposed to be at the fairground in the first place, only the students that were graduating were meant to be there, and she and her friend were juniors.

But Wendy already knew Julie was there...she took the pic of Julie flipping her off. So I agree, it does seem strange that Julie wouldn't have said anything.

That's because Wendy would tell their parents.

Question: During the movie when a viewer can make decisions, I chose to honk the horn twice which saved Frankie's life. Later in the film, Frankie is being arrested by two officers. The scene pauses and a question appears asking if it was right to save his life. I chose "yes" and because of this he is seen being taken away. If I had chosen "no", what would have happened to Frankie?

Answer: The movie just continues without showing any additional clips.

Question: In both Kevin and Wendy's pictures, there are hints towards their deaths on the train (this being Jason's blurred face and Kevin's face close up in the camera mimicking his face being smashed into the train window) but if this is the case is there any possible hint for Julie's death via train wheel?

Answer: Yes, she was posing in front of a merry-go-round. A fast spinning, wheel-shaped structure. Also, if you look closely, there's a circle-shaped decoration in the merry-go-round that looks like its about to hit her in the head.

Deliberate mistake: There are a number of things wrong with the roller coaster scene (besides the obvious impossibility of a crash like this actually occurring): 1) The restraints use ratchets to lock, not hydraulics. A coaster of this type wouldn't even have any hydraulic lines. 2) The attendants didn't check all the restraints. This is ALWAYS necessary, on ANY ride. 3) On any roller coaster, the Dispatch button (or "Start" in the movie) must be held down until the train is clear of the station. This is a safety feature to make sure the attendants are clear of the moving train. If the button is released before the train is clear of the station, it will stop. 4) At the bottom of the lift, the lift chain curves to follow the track into the station. This is impossible, a lift chain cannot curve horizontally, only vertically (normally at the top of the hill).

Trivia: Notice how on the final subway they pass Booth street (a reference to John Wilkes Booth who killed Lincoln) and are supposed to get off at Oswald St (referencing Lee Harvey Oswald who assassinated Kennedy.) Another reference to Lincoln is made earlier in the film with the pictures.
