Continuity mistake: Annie takes the photo album from her sleeping son's arms and she heads for the door, with the album under her arm. As she appears out the door, the album is gone.
In a bayou near Savannah lives Annie Wilson, a widow with three sons with the gift of being clairvoyant. Not long after she become threatened by Donnie Barksdale, the abusive husband of a client, a promiscuous daughter of a prominent citizen and fiancee of a school principal, Jessica King turns up missing. Annie leads the police to the Donnie's pond where Jessica's dead body turns up. During and after the trail, Annie must sort through the troubles her gift has caused her, her attraction for Jessica's ex-fiancee, a crises involving a mentally challenged client, and if her Gift is trying to show her more than what she sees.
Wayne Collins: Is there anything you can tell us?
Annie: I can read for you. But that's about all I can do.
Question: When Annie and her boys are coming home from the neighbour's place, next door, there's a blue light coming from the main bedroom. Leaving her boys, Annie goes into the house and there is all this noise that sounds like a radio not completely tuned in, of an evangelist preaching really loudly. Now, where is all this noise coming from: Annie's mind, Donnie's car radio parked outside? Or is it just for our benefit?
