Question: How did Anakin catch on fire while on the lava bank?
Answer: Being that close to active lava mean his clothes would easily catch on fire. Both Anakin and Obi-Wan were likely using the force in some way to shield themselves from the heat. Once Anakin was injured, he became vulnerable, and lying on the ground made that worse.
To be honest I think there was a spec of lava that caught him.
Question: Does Sidious just use his apprentices as advantages to his evil needs, and doesn't care at all when they die?
Answer: The "rule of two" the Sith adhere to means there are always only a master and apprentice. Both continually look to improve their situation. The apprentice hopes to eventually kill his master and become master himself, while the master is constantly searching for a better apprentice.
I don't think Sidious really wanted to carry on the Sith Order, though. His true goal was to rule the galaxy and find ways to extend his life. He was focused on himself.
Answer: Precisely, look at what he did to Dooku and Vader in ROTS and ROTJ, respectively. They are both replaced by a powerful Jedi setup by Sidious himself.
Question: Why would Grevious choose to face Obi-Wan alone? He could have a one-shot chance to defeat Obi-Wan completely with his droid army.
Answer: Being the sort of character that he is Grievous had a big ego so to simply let his droids take out Kenobi would be a waste of his abilities. Like in the clone wars where he would earn trophies of sorts by collecting defeated Jedis' lightsabers - he references this earlier in the film by taunting Anakin and Obi-wan.
Question: Did the clones really know that Palpatine was Darth Sidious all this time, considering they easily agreed to the Sith Lord's orders (Separatist ally), and respond with "Yes, my lord"? If so, how hard was this to keep from the rest of the Republic (Jedi, senators, etc.) for all this time that they were really under control of a Sith Lord, they were his right-hand men, took orders from him, and would turn on the Jedi when the time is right? Also, why would they even take orders from a Sith Lord (even if it was Palpatine, which the Jedi didn't know, it seems they wouldn't do this)? They didn't seem to like Dooku or Grievous, who were also a part of the Separatists? It just all seems quite confusing.
Answer: The clone troops weren't loyal to the Jedi, they were loyal to the republic and its leader Palpatine. Darth Sidious and Palpatine are one and the same person, to the clone troops there is no difference between the 2. Order 66 changed the viewpoint of the clones as seeing the Jedi as traitors that need to be eliminated and they executed the order immediately. The clone troops were not aware of the double play by Sidious and the separatists but by the time order 66 was executed the separatists were pretty much beaten already. Palpatine wasn't a Separatist ally, he used them to excuse the use of the clone army to take control of the galaxy and eliminate the Jedi at the same time.
Chosen answer: That's one way to look at it. The Sith sought to grow stronger, and when a potentially stronger apprentice comes around, the "upgrade" is too tempting to pass on.
Answer: I think Palpatine/Sidious had always plans, along with some alternate plans. He needed to be prepared in case things didn't happen as he wished. Maybe he intended for Darth Maul to be a placeholder for Anakin. After Maul was killed, Dooku was the new placeholder. However, there was also a chance that Anakin could be killed - maybe in a Clone Wars battle - or he might refuse to turn against the Jedi. Palpatine probably had something in mind for those situations.
Question: Did Darth Tyranus know that Sidious was going to betray him?
Chosen answer: Nope, you can see the surprise on his face when Palpatine orders Anakin to kill him. He then realises Anakin is Sidious' new apprentice. He fully expected to defeat Anakin.
I read that Palpatine/Sidious had given Dooku/Tyrannus a fake plan: Tyrannus thought they would kill Obi-wan, then convince Anakin to join the two of them.
I think that is partially right. Though I would sooner think the plan was to incapacitate Obi-Wan, which Dooku did and then focus on Anakin to get him to the dark side. Dooku had a chance to kill Obi-Wan but didn't. Besides, if Dooku did kill Obi-Wan it is almost sure Anakin will kill Dooku for it.
If I remember correctly, at the moment, the plan was described in the book "Labyrinth of Evil" by James Luceno. Although, I don't know how many books are canon now.
Question: After Obi Wan defeated Anakin, why doesn't he take Anakin with him? It would be easier to reform somebody when they can't kill you, and Obi Wan thinks of Anakin as a brother, so wouldn't he do anything to reform him?
Answer: Obi Wan had conceded that Anakin was fully turned to the Dark side and beyond redemption. Anakin betrayed Obi Wan and the Jedi Order, killing many, and this was a permanent break to their relationship. There was no turning back for either. Obi Wan simply chose to walk away and leave him there to die.
Question: How did Anakin Skywalker survive Order Sixty Six? Since Anakin was a Jedi until around the time of the Order, how did the troopers know not to kill Anakin?
Question: I know this is an opinionated question. Can someone give me the top 10 most powerful characters in Star Wars?
Chosen answer: It really is impossible to give a completely accurate list about this, as there are many meanings to the word "power", and no measuring unit for it.Anyways, these are just my opinions. Here's my attempt: 1. DARTH SIDIOUS/PALPATINE - He was able to use "force stealth" on the Jedi. Plus, he is the Dark Lord of the Sith. He was able to kill his master (Darth Plagueis) in his sleep. 2. YODA - The Grand Master of the Jedi Order. He can control the force lightning of Sidious and Tyranus. It was said that only Mace Windu, Count Dooku and Palpatine were able to fight with him on equal terms. 3. DARTH VADER - He is an extremely powerful in the force by lifting objects without using his hands, able to defeat Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi. 4. DARTH TYRANUS/COUNT DOOKU - A menacing Sith Lord and a rogue Jedi. Though old already, he was able to defeat Obi Wan twice and Anakin once. He could use a force lightning ability which Darth Maul and Darth Vader couldn't do. Sidious, Yoda and Windu are considered his equals. He was the swordsman in the galaxy. 5. MACE WINDU - A higher rank of the Jedi Order. Considered one of the greatest swordsmen ever produced by the Jedi Order. He was a master of all seven forms of lightsaber combat. He began his development of the deadly form of combat known as Vaapad. 6. OBI-WAN KENOBI - A wise and brave Jedi Master. He was the first one who kill a Sith Lord Ever. Aside from Darth Maul, he defeated General Griveous and the Pre Darth Vader version. He was able to appear as a force ghost after his death. 7. DARTH MAUL - Wielded a double bladed lightsaber and he was a skilled Zabrak warrior. Very fast in a lightsaber duel. He even resurrects in the Clone Wars Series. 8. LUKE SKYWALKER -The greatest Jedi of all time. He is able to redeem his father to the light, which Obi-wan couldn't do. 9. QUI-GON JINN - A maverick and wise Jedi master. He had used the Force to help and protect Anakin all the way. 10. ANAKIN SKYWALKER - The Chosen One and he was prophesied to destroy the Sith, which he did in the end. *HONORABLE MENTION* - GENERAL GRIEVOUS - though not knowing the ways of the force, he is a skilled lightsaber combatant. With four arms with lightsabers, he could block himself from blasters.
This needs an update. Merge Anakin with Vader since they're one and the same and add in Kylo Ren and Rey. New Order: 1. Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious 2. Yoda 3. Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker 4. Kylo Ren/Ben Solo 5. Rey "Skywalker" 6. Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus 7. Mace Windu 8. Obi-Wan Kenobi 9. Darth Maul 10. Luke Skywalker Honorable Mentions - Leia Organa, Qui-Gon Jinn, General Grievous.
Sidious isn't the most powerful force user. Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu and Yoda overpowered him. Obi-Wan could probably beat him too. Sidious' powers lay in his secrecy and intrigue. Only that way he survived. Not his force use.
Question: Does Palpatine knows that Anakin Skywalker is the Chosen One?
Chosen answer: He certainly knows that the Jedi believe Anakin to be the Chosen One. Whether he believes the prophecy himself is unknown, however he likely does not. He holds Vader in no higher regard than any of his other apprentices and is ready to replace him with Luke without a moment's pause after the two fight in Return of the Jedi.
Question: Did Obi-Wan know Anakin and Padme are married? Since she thinks Obi-Wan could help them with Anakin seeing with the force that Padme would die giving birth after Anakin broke the Jedi code of getting married. Doesn't it seem that Obi-Wan would not help after what Anakin had done, unless he knew about it?
Chosen answer: Obi Wan didn't know they were married. He only realises Anakin is the father of Padme's child after noticing her emotional response when he asks if she knows where Anakin is. Even though Anakin has broken the Jedi code Padme still thinks Obi Wan might help them because he is their best friend. At worst Anakin would be expelled from the Jedi and the controversy would end Padme's political career but she makes it clear she doesn't care about any of that. Anakin, however does and shoots down the idea.
The fact that they keep the relationship secret baffles me a bit. I mean, they live together in a city. They were obviously shown as close in AOTC.
It makes very little sense, to the point of being absurd. It is portrayed as if Obi-Wan and Anakin are best friends, but Obi-Wan never even asks where Anakin lives when he's not on duty.
It's not like Obi-Wan and Anakin carpool or invite each other to dinner. They are Jedi partners, in service of the Republic and Jedi Order. Even if it were all happening on 1 planet Anakin and Padme could easily keep their marriage a secret, let alone from Jedi who travel from system to system and are extremely busy all the time.
Question: The twins are apparently born at the same time as Vader receiving his armor/suit - right after Vader's fight with Obi-wan. How is it that fitting armor happens to be in a medical center already?
Question: I've been wondering, after the events of this movie, what happened to the Clone facilities on Kamino? Did the Empire takeover them and use them for their own advantage to grow Stormtroopers instead of Clones? In the game "Star Wars: Battlefront II," there's a mission where the Kaminoans would continue using them to make Clones to fight against the Empire, which would later on be destroyed by the Empire, and in "The Force Unleashed II" game, the Empire would've taken over the facilities with Vader. I would imagine "The Force Unleashed II" game being more canon plot-wise, but I'm not sure.
Answer: It's never specified. Though, once all the ordered clones were deployed it's safe to assume the Kaminoans didn't make any more. Since they had shut down their production, taking over and starting a new batch would take too much time for the empire so instead they were probably left alone and the Empire initiated a recruitment program to reinforce its ranks.
Question: Coruscant is basically destroyed in Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon show. Why didn't they show the destruction from the droid invasion after crashing Grievous' Invisible Hand into the planet?
Answer: The Clone Wars show aired 3 years after the film came out. They had not planned on there having been a droid invasion.

Answer: R2 is quiet during the landing.
