Other mistake: After rescuing the boy, Jamie gets the 1946 Ford truck stuck, having rounded vent window frames. But inside as she tries to move the truck we see "dogleg" vent frames from say a 1963 Chevy truck (more pointed, angled back).
The Fog (1980)
1 other mistake
Directed by: John Carpenter
Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Janet Leigh, John Houseman, Adrienne Barbeau

Continuity mistake: While Father Malone is drinking his wine you can still see the cork laying on the table. He finally gets up to try to catch Bennett before he leaves and the cork has mysteriously put itself back into the bottle. (00:05:00 - 00:05:45)
Kathy Williams: Are you going to give the benediction tonight, father?
Father Malone: Antonio bay has a curse on it.
Sandy Fadel: Do we take that as a "no"?
Trivia: Writer-Director John Carpenter appears in the film as Bennett, Father Malone's assistant, at the beginning of the movie.
Question: I recently bought the Scream Factory Blu-ray. During the opening with the old man telling the kids the spooky story, there's a moment where it cuts from a wideshot to a closeup, and it looks like there's a weird, random zooming effect added that's only about five frames between the wide and closeup shots (between the lines "drew towards land" and "Suddenly, out of the night"). Is that part of the original movie, or is that just some sort-of defect on the disc? It just looks out of place.
