Continuity mistake: When Stevie puts the piece of driftwood down on top of the tape rack water is already moving along on the table even though the water hasn't begun dripping from the driftwood.
Other mistake: After rescuing the boy, Jamie gets the 1946 Ford truck stuck, having rounded vent window frames. But inside as she tries to move the truck we see "dogleg" vent frames from say a 1963 Chevy truck (more pointed, angled back).
Continuity mistake: During the opening credits we see a shot of the beach when the "Tom Atkins" credit appears and Stevie Wayne is on the radio. It's supposed to be just after midnight yet it looks like dawn.
Continuity mistake: There are two shots of the sun setting in the distance but at completely opposite ends of town.
Character mistake: When the second fog bank rolls in, the weatherman says it is coming from the south-east, and the DJ says the same thing once; the second time, however, she says the south-west.
