Other mistake: This mistake happens in the scene introducing the four singing heads on the Australian release DVD. They start singing when Jim and the kids turn the corner. According to the subtitles, they sing "When the cryptos creak and the tombstones quake, spooks come out for a swinging wake..." The subtitles are supposed to read 'crypt doors', not the incomprehensible 'cryptos'. (00:47:40)

The Haunted Mansion (2003)
1 other mistake - chronological order
Directed by: Rob Minkoff
Starring: Eddie Murphy, Terence Stamp, Jennifer Tilly, Nathaniel Parker, Marsha Thomason
Continuity mistake: When the family comes into the mansion, they're wet from running in the rain. Eddie Murphy's lapels are sort of rumpled and his wife's hair is wet. By the time they get to the dining room, they're dry and Eddie's suit looks like it's been pressed.
Jim: Hey, honey, you know they have dead people in the backyard.
Sara Evers: Well, some people have swimming pools, others have private cemeteries. It happens.
Trivia: The family that owns the Mansion is named 'Gracey.' This is a tribute to Yale Gracey, someone who helped design the ride on which the movie is based.
Question: Why exactly didn't Ramsley want Master Gracey to marry Elizabeth? What would've happened to him, the mansion, or Gracey himself if he married her?

Answer: She was African American, most likely the daughter of slaves. He felt she would have brought shame and disgrace to the mansion and the family name.
