Corrected entry: After Chico has shammed Groucho for a while at the races, he bets six dollars on Sun Up. However, at that point he has sold Groucho the name of the horse (in code), the code book, the master code book, and the breeder's guide, all for a dollar each. He was broke when he started; how did he get the extra two dollars?
A Day at the Races (1937)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: Sam Wood
Starring: Chico Marx, Groucho Marx, Harpo Marx, The Marx Brothers, Allan Jones
Continuity mistake: In the scene showing Groucho being chased across the cars as they enter the race course, in the shot from behind you see him running along the rail only to slip, the following shot is from the front and shows the same slip he's already made.
Dr. Hackenbush: Oh, well, uh, to begin with I took four years at Vassar.
Mrs. Upjohn: Vassar? But that's a girls' college.
Dr. Hackenbush: I found that out the third year. I'd 've been there yet, but I went out for the swimming team.

Correction: Actually, the last thing he sold Groucho was an entire volume of books for a dollar each. His total was more like $11 by then. I was wondering why he only bet $6 when he had more than that from Groucho.
