Deliberate mistake: When John and his sister Patty are watching the old videos, it shows John saying that he would pay for his niece's college education and the camera is showing them from the side. John says "And that's a promise from your uncle John." and the camera is in front of him showing his face. There is no way they could change camera angles like that in a home movie.
Stealing Harvard (2002)
1 deliberate mistake
Directed by: Bruce McCulloch
Starring: Jason Lee, Leslie Mann, Dennis Farina, Megan Mullally, Tom Green
Continuity mistake: Tom Green is trying to break a window by tossing chairs and etc. at it and there are marks all over the window. In the next scene the marks are gone.
Duff: See those dead plants? I planted those.
Trivia: Immediately after the botched convenience store robbery, Tom Green tells Jason Lee that he has an idea to make money in the form of a "scam involving pizza delivery." This is surely a joke thrown in by Tom Green because of an attempted scam/skit on the Tom Green Show called Undercutters where he followed around pizza delivery guys with his own pizza in an attempt to undercut their price. Hilarious skit by the way.
