Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is walking around to gather ingredients for his final spell, the first things he must locate are apple cores (three to be exact). On the side of Fetuccini's trailer he spots one core stuck to the painting, but this is where he says "Three apple cores. Just what I need!" Nicholas grabs only one core, never finding two additional ones. Meanwhile he notices a spider web hanging beneath the trailer. But as he reaches out to take it, the apple core instantly disappears from his right hand. (00:52:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where two boys are chasing Playful Heart Monkey and Friend Bear through the carnival grounds, the one wearing light brown shoes angrily kicks over a box of junk on his way by. But when he runs away in the next shot, he's wearing black shoes instead. (00:53:45)
Continuity mistake: When Playful Heart Monkey and Friend Bear are being pursued by a pair of kids through the dilapidated carnival, they take cover near a calliope. Upon first glance, the calliope's three blue levers are pointing down, up and down (in that sequence). Suddenly these levers change to red and get a different arrangement: down, down and up (with the lever nearest Playful Heart now conveniently positioned up for him to lean on and activate the music). Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason are running with their heads turned, they circle around a tent and soon collide with Nicholas, causing him to trip over a hose and land several feet on the other side of it. Once Nicholas reaches out to capture the two children, we can see him sitting on opposite side of the hose. (00:54:20)
Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason are being followed by Nicholas into the fun house, the first obstacle they must negotiate is a series of wooden planks, each having ropes for handles on either side. As Nicholas inches closer, Kim loses her balance and falls down on the last plank, but its left handle is missing in this shot - only to reappear moments later when they make their escape. (00:54:40)
Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason enter the fun house, their first obstacle has large wooden planks held up with ropes. Once they step onto the sixth and final plank, Nicholas points his finger on the opposite side. From this vantage point, however, there are only four planks. (00:54:40)
Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason are being pursued by Nicholas in the fun house, they begin running down a red staircase which changes into a slide. In the background is a painted face with seven teeth, one of which has a hole in it. As Nicholas slides down the staircase, the painting now has six teeth free of any holes. (00:55:00)
Continuity mistake: When Kim and Jason are watching Nicholas and Swift Heart from behind the clown cutouts, Kim places a hand over her mouth between shots. (00:56:20)
Continuity mistake: After Swift Heart Rabbit pounces onto Nicholas' face to distract him from taking another shot at Cozy Heart Penguin in the high dive pool, the background behind Nicholas changes instantly between shots. (00:56:20)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas is about to strike Swift Heart Rabbit with the fire, his right shoe happens upon a wad of gum - the final ingredient for his magic spell. At this point he removes some of the gum and makes his way to the castle. Later on, when uttering the last three words of the incantation by the cauldron, Nicholas can be seen wearing two shoes and pulling a third one from his cape - which is soiled with gum; whereas he should only be wearing a left shoe. Continuity mistake: When Grumpy Bear is making final adjustments on the rainbow rescue beam, Good Luck Bear indicates an alarming drop on the caring meter outside. Suddenly a cloud quake occurs and the meter's gauge vanishes. As the quake settles, both of them look outside to see the gauge intact once again. (00:58:35)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Grumpy and Good Luck Bear are performing last-minute repairs on the rainbow rescue beam, Grumpy's heart-shaped creeper disappears from beneath him. (00:58:35)
Continuity mistake: While Grumpy and Good Luck Bear are in Care-a-Lot putting finishing touches on the broken rainbow rescue beam, a cloud quake ruptures the floor beneath their feet and scatters debris all around. After the quake recedes, Grumpy shoots Good Luck Bear an astonished look and, at this point, bits and pieces of the ceiling are visible on either side of the floor's seam. But in the next shot when they both turn their heads to the caring meter outside, no pieces appear anywhere. (00:58:45)
Continuity mistake: When Good Luck Bear and Grumpy are finalizing the rainbow rescue beam's repairs, a cloud quake splits the Hall of Hearts' floor in two. All of the floor tiles switch direction in this shot, but they quickly return to normal as the bears reach over to save their tools. (00:58:45)
Continuity mistake: The moment Nicholas is ready to cast his final spell, several Care Bears roll into the castle on a line of carts, all of which display an emblem up front. Once the bears are thrown into the carts and start rolling away, the emblems have vanished (most particularly the first cart where Tenderheart sits). (00:59:40 - 01:00:45)
Continuity mistake: Whenever Nicholas is shown casting his evil spells, a podium is present several feet away from the cauldron. Fast forward to the climactic finale. After the final ingredient drops into the cauldron, Tenderheart Bear runs over to reason with Nicholas; but notice how the podium has briefly vanished at this point. (00:59:50)
Continuity mistake: When Nicholas accidentally drops his shoe into the cauldron, an explosion causes him to jump back. At this moment, look quickly at the podium nearby. Notice how the evil spirit's face is temporarily missing from the book. (00:59:50)
Continuity mistake: Inside the castle where the Care Bears are lined up together getting ready to initiate their stare on Nicholas, Cheer Bear's rainbow tummy symbol is colored red, green and blue. But at the moment they all begin to stare, the sequence changes to red, yellow and green. (01:00:20)
Continuity mistake: After Nicholas casts his final spell, the Care Bears organize themselves to execute a stare; but suddenly the evil spirit knocks them into the line of carts. Keep an eye on the front seats where Friend Bear and Tenderheart land. As the carts begin rolling away, notice how Bedtime Bear's legs stick out from beneath Friend Bear, and Funshine Bear's head is obscured by Tenderheart. However, in the next shot Bedtime Bear's legs are nowhere in sight and Funshine Bear's head rests awkwardly upon her own lap. (01:00:20)
Continuity mistake: After Nicholas casts his final spell over the cauldron, the Care Bears are shown outside of the castle walls gathered around the rail carts. Share Bear and Tenderheart are sitting up front, but in the next shot they're both walking off of a different cart. (01:01:00)
