Continuity mistake: When Joey knocks the policeman over, the policeman lands on the ground and his hat lands on his right. But in the next shot, the hat is on the policeman's left. (00:04:19)
Continuity mistake: When Joey is riding to school on his bike, there is a shot that pans in on Sanpei, the owner of a market. When the shot cuts, he appears to have rotated 45 degrees to the right. (00:04:05)
Continuity mistake: A sidewalk that Yugi runs down on his way to school is shown to have several flower pots placed along it. There is a sign on the sidewalk that is positioned a fair distance from the flower pots. But in the next shot, the sign has moved closer to one of the flower pots. (00:03:39)

He lowers his hand and the phone he is holding by a few inches, but when the shot cuts to reveal the helicopter, the phone and his hand are next to his ear again. (00:02:52)
Continuity mistake: When the security guard takes out his phone to look at a photo of Yugi wearing the Millennium Puzzle, his fingers are placed over the left-hand side of it. His middle finger appears to be at a more elevated angle when it cuts to a close-up of the phone. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: One of Kaiba's security guards tells one of the workers in the tomb to work faster, to which the worker tells the others, "Faster, everyone, work faster," and runs towards them. When this happens, the security guard has a folder raised to his chest, but when the shot cuts, it is lowered away from his chest. (00:02:38)
