Continuity mistake: After Yugi and Mokuba have arrived at Kaiba's building, there is a wide shot of Yugi and Mokuba standing outside. In the wide shot, Yugi is standing next to a small wall, but when it cuts to a closer shot, he is closer to the wall. (00:30:00)
Continuity mistake: When the limo drives away from the card shop, Joey and Tristan attempt to run after it, but stop running. The two are side by side when they stop running, but then it cuts to a closer shot of the two, where they are suddenly closer together. (00:29:44)
Continuity mistake: When Joey and Tristan see the limo outside the card shop, there is a sign outside the shop that says "GAME" that is square shaped. A few seconds later, after the limo has driven away, the sign is now rectangular shaped. (00:29:36)
Continuity mistake: When the tomb is revealed to have been stolen from the exhibition, the glass case it was inside has been shattered. The appearance of the shattered glass changes a few seconds later when Yugi helps Solomon sit up. (00:28:15)

Other mistake: When Pegasus and Kaiba draw until they have six cards in their hand, one of the cards shown in Pegasus' hand is Dark Magician Girl. Seconds later, he is shown summoning Toon Dark Magician Girl from his hand, instead of the regular Dark Magician Girl that was shown in his hand. (00:20:34)
Continuity mistake: After Pegasus has activated Card of Sanctity, making him and Kaiba draw until they have six cards in their hand, there is a split screen shot showing the cards in their hands. In Pegasus' hand, the Cost Down card is the second card on the right-hand side. Then in the next shot, he is shown removing the end card on the right-hand side from his hand, which is revealed to be Cost Down, even though it was the second to right card in the previous shot. Continuity mistake: On Kaiba's first turn during his duel with Pegasus, he draws one card from his deck. His right hand is positioned higher and away from his left hand, but in a close-up of the cards in his hands, the right hand is now directly over his left hand. (00:20:00)
Character mistake: At the start of the duel between Pegasus and Kaiba, Pegasus is shown to have four cards in his hand on his first turn. Duelists are supposed to have five cards in their hands at the start of the duel, not four. (00:19:15)
Other mistake: When Yugi and Tea are running away from the crowd members, they turn around a corner and then retreat when they see pedestrians that they think are after them. There was no way they could have known that these pedestrians were after them as they appeared to be minding their own business and doing nothing callous. (00:18:44)
Revealing mistake: After Joey and Tristan are lying on the ground due to being knocked over by the crowd, the scene cuts to Yugi and Tea running. The Millennium Puzzle appears to have been drawn incorrectly as it only features the hole in the middle, whereas the rest of the textures are missing. (00:18:39)
Character mistake: When Joey is duelling with a boy, the boy says, "I sacrifice Fenril and Inpachi in order to summon Maju Garzett." The monster he refers to as "Fenril" is actually called "Fenrir," and not the former. (00:17:27)
Character mistake: When Joey starts dueling members of the crowd, the first duelist goes first, and on his first turn summons Injection Fairy Lily.
