Continuity mistake: Yugi looks at a few pieces of paper to see if it will help him put the pieces of the Millennium Puzzle together. After he puts the papers down, his left hand is empty. Then there is a close-up of him looking at one of the pieces. His left shoulder isn't shown moving in the close-up, but in the shot after that, he is holding a puzzle piece in his left hand, which wouldn't have been possible to pick up with his hand if his shoulder didn't move. Deliberate mistake: Footage of Yugi playing at the Battle City Tournament is played across TV broadcasts around the world. However, the tournament footage is footage taken directly from the TV series, with some scenarios that were not filmed, and even the scenarios that were filmed feature camera angles and camera movements that would have been difficult to film.
