Other mistake: After the opening title, the film opens on a large screen displaying Yugi's achievements. Just as the narrator says, "In the three short years...", Yugi is holding the Exodia card, but the card features Japanese text. This can be seen in the English dub, even though all duelling cards are generally translated from the original Japanese language to English. (00:05:27)
Other mistake: When Yugi and Tea are running away from the crowd members, they turn around a corner and then retreat when they see pedestrians that they think are after them. There was no way they could have known that these pedestrians were after them as they appeared to be minding their own business and doing nothing callous. (00:18:44)
Other mistake: When Pegasus and Kaiba draw until they have six cards in their hand, one of the cards shown in Pegasus' hand is Dark Magician Girl. Seconds later, he is shown summoning Toon Dark Magician Girl from his hand, instead of the regular Dark Magician Girl that was shown in his hand. (00:20:34)
Other mistake: Just after Yugi destroys Kaiba's Peten the Dark Clown, Kaiba is able to activate the trap card Dark Destruction Virus. However, this card can only be activated if a dark-attribute, fiend-type monster is destroyed, and Peten the Dark Clown is a Spellcaster-type monster. (00:42:30)
Other mistake: When Kaiba summons Des Feral Imp, he doesn't appear to place any monster card on his duel disk. He is shown moving his hand down towards the duel disk, but no card is ever shown placed in the monster card zones. (00:43:18)
Other mistake: Yugi activates the spell card Mage Power and equips it to Magician's Valkyria, allowing her to gain 500 attack and defence points for every spell and trap card on the field. A screen displaying the monster's attack and defence points can be seen, but the ATK appears to be 2600 before the points increase (the original ATK being 1600), and is then shown going down to 1600, which is the wrong way round. Also, the DEF appears to be already set to 2800 (instead of the original DEF 1800) without changing. (00:47:05)
Other mistake: The card that Yugi draws on his final turn is a spell card called Diffusion Wave-Motion. He then activates the spell card, but says, "I activate Double Spell," and says he can use a spell card from his opponent's graveyard (which is exactly what activating Double Spell allows him to do). Clearly, the Diffusion Wave-Motion card was shown in his hand by mistake and should've been Double Spell that was shown. (01:10:30 - 01:11:56)
Other mistake: Anubis blasts two spell cards at Yugi, causing cards from his deck to get blasted away. In the shot of the cards flying out of his duel disk, two copies of the Winged Dragon of Ra monster card can be seen, even though there is only one in existence. (01:17:41)
