Continuity mistake: When Anubis tells Yugi, Joey and Tristan that the Pharaoh's life force feeds his, Joey's left arm is at his side. When the shot cuts, his left forearm is extended, presumably placed on Yugi. (00:58:05)
Continuity mistake: A ladder drops in front of Tea, Solomon and Mokuba, which is revealed to have been dropped by Pegasus, who is standing in a helicopter. After the helicopter is first revealed, it cuts to a closer shot of the helicopter, where shadows have suddenly appeared next to the windows. (00:56:39)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi collapses after his life points go down to 200, he is holding a card in his left hand. His thumb is under the card when he lands on the floor, but when the shot cuts, his thumb is on top of the card. Also, his right hand is aligned with his left hand in the first shot, but ahead of his left hand when the shot cuts. (00:55:34)
Plot hole: Kaiba explains that his Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon gains 300 attack points for every Dragon-type monster in his graveyard. The monsters shown in the graveyard are three Blue-Eyes White Dragons, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, and Rare Metal Dragon, totalling 5 Dragon-type monsters, meaning Shining Dragon gains 1500 extra points. However, he also summoned Paladin of White Dragon earlier (which is a Dragon-type monster) and was destroyed, but is not included among the Dragon-type monsters in his graveyard. (00:54:15)
Revealing mistake: Just after Kaiba has summoned Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, there is a shot of him explaining the monster's ability, where the shot starts on his face and pans downward toward the card on the duel disk. Continuity mistake: Just after Yugi has explained that the effect of his Sorcerer of Dark Magic monster can stop the activation of trap cards, in the shot of Yugi saying "My deck is safe," Kaiba is holding one card in his hand at an upright angle. Revealing mistake: When Kaiba attempts to use the effect of the Deck Destruction Virus on Yugi for the third time, in the shot of the cartoon virus advancing towards Yugi, the monster card on his duel disk is missing the illustrations. (00:53:13)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi tells Joey and Tristan that he believes Anubis is "trying to make a comeback," Joey and Tristan shout, "What?" Tristan's left arm is straight when he does this, but in a closer shot of Yugi, his left arm is bent at the elbow. (00:49:50)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi, Joey and Tristan are looking up at the giant eye above them, whilst Tristan is asking, "So, any idea what we're up against?", the three are standing beside each other at perpendicular angles. In the next shot, the three are side by side. (00:49:32)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi's life points go down to 1500 after Magician's Valkyria is destroyed by Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, he lowers his left forearm. When the shot cuts, his left forearm is raised. His right forearm also changes to a different angle when the shot cuts. (00:48:50)
Revealing mistake: When Yugi loses ten more cards as a result of the effect of Dark Destruction Virus (used the second time), in the shot of Yugi saying "I've lost half the cards in my deck already," the monster card shown on his duel disk is missing the illustrations. Additionally, in the following shot of Kaiba, the monster card on his duel disk is missing the illustrations as well. (00:47:57)
Other mistake: Yugi activates the spell card Mage Power and equips it to Magician's Valkyria, allowing her to gain 500 attack and defence points for every spell and trap card on the field. A screen displaying the monster's attack and defence points can be seen, but the ATK appears to be 2600 before the points increase (the original ATK being 1600), and is then shown going down to 1600, which is the wrong way round. Also, the DEF appears to be already set to 2800 (instead of the original DEF 1800) without changing. (00:47:05)
Continuity mistake: When Tea, Solomon and Mokuba are standing outside the Pyramid of Light, in the shot of Mokuba saying "Wait, rewind a sec," the three are standing next to each other. When the shot cuts, Mokuba is standing further from the other two. (00:46:25)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi is walking down a hallway just before he sees the Pharaoh, the wall to his right has no door on it. But in the next shot, a door has suddenly appeared on the wall. (00:44:22)
Continuity mistake: After Kaiba has activated Card of Demise, he draws five cards from his deck. In the close-up of his hand, his index finger appears to be positioned along the corner of the White Dragon Ritual card. When the shot cuts, his index finger is away from the corner of the card. Continuity mistake: Kaiba summons Des Feral Imp by placing the card on the duel disk with his right hand. There are no other cards in his right hand when this happens, but in the next shot, the Card of Demise spell card is suddenly seen in his right hand, which he then activates. (00:43:18)
