You've Got Mail

Continuity mistake: Joe reads Kathleen's email after he let her think her online friend never showed at the coffee shop, he pauses, then disconnects his AOL (you hear his computer say "Goodbye"). He and Brinkley pace back and forth a minute before Joe finally decides to write an email, only he never reconnected to AOL and the blank email screen is already up and waiting for him (you never hear AOL reconnect).

Continuity mistake: Brinkley, Joe's male dog, is obviously a smaller female dog, and she is played by two different dogs. One dog has longer hair than the other. The two dogs keep switching back and forth. The dog(s) never seem to respond to the computer screen or any other directed area, they are firmly focused on their trainer.

Revealing mistake: There are several scenes Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks' computers do not have any telephone wires attached to them. They are in an era where they were using AOL dial up, as heard by the connection. They were not using wireless.

Trivia: In the scene where Tom Hanks is visiting Meg Ryan, she is in bed and he is sitting on the edge of the bed talking to her. Right before he gets up for a moment to pull up the covers over her, (now, turn the sound up for this one) he actually passes gas. You can hear the little "pop", he starts to grin and then probably realizes that the director is going to just continue on with the scene, so his grin fades and the scene goes on. I replayed this over and over. It really happened.
