Batman: Hush

Continuity mistake: Batman enters Lex Luthor's room at night while he's sleeping, and completely casts a shadow over Lex. This wakes Lex up and he sits up. Batman has not moved from his position, but now in the next shots he is no longer casting a shadow on Lex's bed or body. (00:24:47)

Continuity mistake: Once Batman falls to the ground after Hush first shoots his line, there are 3 different angles in shots of him lying on the ground. In each, the position of his arms change slightly in how outstretched they are above his head, and being closer or further away from his head. (01:11:14)

Continuity mistake: After her brief scuffle with Batgirl, Catwoman heads off and jumps down into Poison ivy's lair. When she lands her left hand is folded to the front of her body where she's gripping her whip that's wrapped around her torso. The angle cuts to a distance shot and now suddenly she's got both hands on her hips. (00:14:02)

Continuity mistake: Catwoman jumps down to protect the unconscious Batman from some street thugs and threatens them. She lifts up her and and extends her claws in a close up. When the camera changes to a higher angle, suddenly this same hand is down on the ground supporting her. (00:12:19)

Continuity mistake: Once Lady Shiva announces herself to Batman while he is by Bane's unconscious body, Batman turns and holds up a Batarang and stands slightly sideways ready for assault. Once he relaxes, he lowers his arms and straightens up, however is still standing slightly sideways and not completely straight with his head. But then it cuts to a side angle from a distance and now Batman is suddenly standing completely straight with his head and body lined up facing the same direction completely. (00:08:58)

Continuity mistake: In the factory, Batman lies down the corpse horizontally/across the ramp he's walking on, but when he runs off, the body is turned 90°. It's already baffling that he took the time to deal with it at all, even more unlikely that he'd drag it on the floor looking for the best Feng Shui arrangement for it in the hostile environment. Continuity mistake: Batman pulls from his back pocket the microphone/mind control thingy that Hush was using, and holds it in his fist. In the first shot though it's drawn upside down and the cables are sticking out from the bottom of Batman's fist. In the subsequent shots Batman is holding the device in the same raised fist by those cables. (01:07:40)

Continuity mistake: When Batman and Jim Gordon are smashed through the wall of the interrogation room (which is directly in front of the cells for some reason), Batman is holding Gordon close and drops him during his landing, but in the full view of the corridor Gordon is at a right angle with Batman and distant, as if Batman launches him aside, which he did not (nor it would be physically possible). Continuity mistake: After the montage with Batman and Catwoman partnering up to defeat Penguin and other villains, there's a view of the Batcave where you can make out of the shower and some clothes on the ground. It's easy to see the yellow bat-belt. But that belt is in front of the stairs when Alfred arrives, and when the shower is seen, there are other things in front, like Batman's full cape. (00:55:55)

Continuity mistake: After apprehending Riddler, Batman crashes the window of the building where Hush appeared. By the window is half a mannequin, with a big shard of glass leaning against its pedestal. The glass quickly disappears (as most pieces of glass change place between shots) and the mannequin a couple of shots later ("We already have" line) is a full figure one. (00:49:40)

Continuity mistake: With one of the first punches, Batman sends Joker gut-first into some crates, who end up knocking down a trash can in domino effect. The lid flies off, but in the next shot, the can is on the ground with what appears to be the lid still on. There is actually a lid on the ground a meter away though, so the lid doubled or they drew a huge upper rim to the can that was not there earlier. (00:41:25)

Continuity mistake: Bane drops from the ceiling of the abandoned greenhouse and begins advancing towards Catwoman. In the side view you can see that the metal boxes (air conditioners or something like that) are quite distant from him and he walked past, but 2 shots later he comfortably reaches them with his arm without moving and rips one off throwing it at Selina. Revealing mistake: After successful surgery, Bruce's friend shows him the first page of a newspaper with the headline about the news, "The National Whisper." The 'date' is "November 2016", which is a bit odd (a monthly newspaper?), but even better is the fact that it just sports obvious gibberish all over. The title of the boxed article is "Geiare la goer uoa oge ou osgeou osd ogoernis pgoer aoubepre obieri ai beiragoer." (00:17:15)

Continuity mistake: After chasing away the three stooges who were trying to kill an unconscious Batman, Catwoman and Batgirl are on their own in the alley. Random debris appears by the sidewalk and changes position. Also, given the position they are in when they fight, they should be stepping over Bruce Wayne's comatose carcass all the way through their exchanges. (00:13:00)

Factual error: It's a superhero movie, but the human Catwoman escapes Batman by jumping off the building, onto a train moving at full speed, in a fall that is shown taking at least 10 floors (first shot, she is still upside down) + another 10 (when she flips so she can land on her feet). Over twenty floors of casual, unassisted freefall jump feel a little over the top already, and again, it's on the top of a moving train, that alone should be impossible to happen the way it does here, not affected by the lateral speed of the train at all. Continuity mistake: In his fight with Bane, Batman judo-throws him on the floor and lifts his foot to stomp him. From the position of Bane and his raised open legs, it's quite obvious that he's about to whomp him in the nuts, but Bane in the following shot grabs Batman's foot that is stepping on his throat. Continuity mistake: Felons get up from their prison bunks to cheer Batman's opponent. The two guys Batman lands in front of are holding their hands on the bars in a different way between the two shots. (01:05:55)

Continuity mistake: When Batman bombs Clayface's clay face off, the monster loses control over the right arm that was keeping him pinned, but reels back with two fully formed arms and hands. (01:06:50)

Continuity mistake: The napkin on top of Bruce's croissant tray changes position between shots; in the first wide shot it's on the back of the tray and tucked all the way towards Bruce's right side, and when Selina approaches it's towards her side, the left one. (00:56:10)

Continuity mistake: In the establishing shot in front of "Dupree Chemical Co", most police cars are facing away from the factory, while in the following shot we see the two by the entrance facing towards it. It keeps switching back and forth during the scene. (00:05:35)

Joker: You know, it's funny. This reminds me of a joke. See, there were two guys locked in a lunatic asylum and one night... one night, they decided they didn't like that anymore. They decided to escape. So, they made it up to the roof and there, just across this narrow gap, they see rooftops, stretching across town, stretching to freedom. Now, the first guy, he jumps right across, no problem. But his friend, oh, no way, he's afraid of falling. So, the first guy has an idea. He says, "Hey, I got this flashlight with me. I'll shine it across the gap between the buildings and you can walk across the beam and join me." But the second guy says, "What do you think I am, crazy? You'll just turn it off when I'm halfway across!"
