Following a young Bart Millard in childhood through high school with an abusive father, a run-away mother, and various bumps in the road along the way. Leading to the redemption of his father, the reunion of Bart with his girlfriend and soon to be wife. All combination to his inspirations of writing the song, and how it was almost given to Amy Grant as her single before she realized how impactful it would be.
