Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Andrew Erwin, Jon Erwin
Starring: Dennis Quaid, Trace Adkins, Madeline Carroll, J. Michael Finley
Amy Grant is about to sing I Can Only Imagine at her concert when she finds she can't do it, knowing that part of what makes the song so special is Bart. She calls Bart up to the stage and has him sing it backed by her band. Their manager quickly calls back the delivery truck of the Amy Grant singles of the song before MercyMe gets the rights back to it and have it as their run away break out single.
Brickell: Let me ask you something Bart, what are you running from?
Bart: My dad. He, uh, he...
Brickell: He beat you, didn't he? Ya ain't got no poker face kid.
Bart: I carry that. I have to live with that, you know. I always will.
Brickell: Then write about it. Stop running from it. Let that pain become your inspiration.
Trivia: Dennis Quaid is shown to have been a football quarterback in his high school years. The picture of him shown in his trophy case as he's throwing away and burning his memorabilia is a picture of Dennis Quaid in the movie Any Given Sunday from 1999 where he played a quarterback, even sporting the #19 in the image.
