Deliberate mistake: There is a screen towards the end where an explosion on the space station is shown on TV. There's nothing next to the space station that can shoot that footage.

Character mistake: Jim Sturgess says, "It's bigger than you and me." He is corrected by Adepero Oduye who says, "You and I." However, he was grammatically correct in his use of the word 'me'. The correction was in error. This is know as a hyper correction. Ironically, Jim makes the same hyper correction when talking to the POTUS, "Having my brother and I lead the investigation..." "Me" would have been correct.
