Continuity mistake: When Mariette and the two other replicants go to walk over to K, Freysa stands still and watches as they walk away. She is standing in front of a pathway, located between an area where there are glass booths filled with people having sex. Just before the shot cuts, an extra wearing a coat covering his entire body rolling a bike walks past Freysa and the pathway between the booths. The shot cuts to them walking over to K, and in the background, the extra with the bike can now be seen to the right of shot, further away from where he was before, walking past the same area a second time. Continuity mistake: In the food court scene, the first shot of Mariette shows her standing with two other replicants. The shot then changes to another angle, and Freysa has suddenly appeared, approaching them. She could not have been out of frame in the previous shot, because there is a woman with goggles and a mask to the right of shot, and when Freysa approaches, she has already walked past the woman. Continuity mistake: When K is at the food court, he is seen looking over the photos of Sapper Morton's tree. The first shot of him shows him holding the photos with his right hand, and his left hand over the photos. In the next shot, he is suddenly holding the photos with both hands. (00:43:20)

Continuity mistake: When K is at the food court, in the close-up shot of the photos when he is looking at them, a plastic spoon can be seen inside the food tray on the table. Around a minute later, when he is approached by Mariette and the two other replicants, the plastic spoon cannot be seen. Later in the scene, when Mariette looks at the photos K has in his hand, the plastic spoon has suddenly reappeared. (00:43:25 - 00:44:25)

Continuity mistake: When K hands the hair sample to the clerk at Wallace Corporation, the clerk puts down the note with the serial number for the replicant, and places it on the desk, with part of it positioned in front of the keyboard. From another angle, the note cannot be seen. This could not be due to the clerk's head blocking it, because the note was placed in front of the keyboard, and the keyboard is fully visible in shot with no note visible in front of it. (00:29:45)

Continuity mistake: When Lieutenant Joshi is instructing K to kill the replicant child, in the shot where Joshi asks if he's telling her no, her whiskey glass is on the windowsill, but when she says "attaboy" a few shots after, the whiskey glass is suddenly in her hand. Joshi wouldn't have picked up the glass in between shots because she was waiting for K to reply. (00:27:55)

Continuity mistake: Lieutenant Joshi is talking with K in her office, instructing him to kill the replicant child, leaning against a window. After K says "To be born is to have a soul I guess", Joshi replies "Are you telling me no?", walking away from the window. K then says he wasn't aware that was an option, and Joshi is suddenly leaning against the window again. (00:27:55)

Continuity mistake: When Joi freezes whilst Lieutenant Joshi attempts to call K, in the shot where the voice message is playing, there is a long, thick strand of hair across going across her cheek. When K goes to leave the balcony after seconds later, the hair is now much shorter and thinner. The direction of the hair across her fringe also changes between shots. (00:23:10)

Continuity mistake: When Dr Stelline offers to look at K's memory, she begins to remove the lanyard around her neck that is connected to the device she is using. In the shot where she begins to take it off, her left hand is positioned above her right shoulder when the shot ends. When the shot cuts, her left hand is lowered to her side. (01:20:13)

Continuity mistake: Whilst the giant Joi is chatting up K, there are streaks of wet blood shown going down his neck due to his injuries getting rained on. These wet blood streaks continue to grow for the next thirty seconds. When he takes off the bandage over his nose, the wet blood streaks on his neck have disappeared. (02:17:12 - 02:17:55)

Continuity mistake: Just after K has finished scanning Sapper Morton's eye, he stands up and says "Please don't get up" to him. The shot then cuts to Sapper lying on the floor and his right lower arm is raised. It then cuts to a wide shot of the room and Sapper's right arm is suddenly on the floor. (00:08:59)

Continuity mistake: When Luv is first introduced, she is shown pouring tea into a cup placed on a saucer and then raises the saucer. In the close-up of her hands and the cup, her left hand is completely shadowed. The camera then changes angles and half of her left hand is suddenly covered in light, with the other half shadowed. Continuity mistake: When K swims back to the sinking car to stop Luv and rescue Deckard, K grabs Luv and pushes her up against the ceiling. There is a shot outside of the car looking inside the car, where K has his hand around her neck and is holding onto the side of her face. It then cuts to Luv where K now has his hand entirely around her neck. (02:24:10)

Continuity mistake: When K is asking Deckard about Rachel, just after he asks what was she like, the shot cuts to Deckard where he has his glass tilted to the right. The shot cuts again where the glass is more tilted to the left. (01:53:05)

Answer: Think of any manufacturing process. Samples of new products are frequently created and then immediately destroyed. Also, the new replicant would require processing, training, etc. It was simpler for him to just dispose of the test.

Answer: He was being violently petulant at the moment, angry that he couldn't create and control the birth that he just learned occurred with older-model replicants and seeing his new creation as "flawed" by design. Pretty villainous, he cares nothing for the replicants.
