Deliberate mistake: After Jim completes the awakening protocols, he is shown to his cabin because his door lights up. That's fine if he's the only one there, but he's not supposed to be. Presumably, there would have been hundreds of other people awakened as well, and the ship can't show all of them to their cabins by lighting their doors at the same time. But reviving every passenger separately and showing them to their rooms one at a time seems highly inefficient.
Passengers (2016)
1 deliberate mistake
Directed by: Morten Tyldum
Starring: Andy Garcia, Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen
Revealing mistake: Just after Aurora finds out that Jim woke her up, she runs around the ship. When she finishes the run, she comes across a dead end and the shot cuts to Jim sitting in front of CCTV monitors. If you look carefully, her movements on the middle monitor do not match the two either side of it - a badly-synced video rather than a live CCTV feed. (01:04:00)
Jim Preston: How do I send a message to Earth.
InfoMat: Interstellar messages are sent by laser array. This is an expensive service.
Jim Preston: Bite me!
InfoMat: Happy to help.
Trivia: Despite receiving fifth billing, Andy Garcia is only on screen for 10 seconds and has no lines at all.
Question: How would they have gained access to the command ring from the main ship? The main ship arms are spinning anti clockwise and the command ring is spinning clockwise, so they're out of sync. The command ring also appears to be spinning faster.
Answer: To spin the ship on its axis, you have to spin it against something. You can use side rockets to push it against the thrust of the rockets, or you could push it against a core rotating in the opposite direction. The conservation of momentum, with the right balance of mass between the inner core and the outer spirals, will make the two parts rotate one against the other, without carrying fuel for the rockets.

Answer: With difficulty is the answer! Question is why are command ring and engine room spinning in different directions, to make this an issue?
