Continuity mistake: In the morning, there is a scene showing the outside of the house, not a cloud in the sky, and Ruth sitting at a table outside the house. Then cuts to Charles coming downstairs, talking to the maid, and when he goes to meet Ruth, she is inside the house with a window at her back.
Continuity mistake: At Madame Arcati's place, she's trying to get rid of the two ghost wives. She has salt and pepper on the table and five heads of snap dragons, but when she draws in the condiments, there are only three snap dragon heads.
Continuity mistake: Charles has a half-filled glass in his hand when Ruth leaves, leaving Charles and Elvira alone, but, along the way, the glass has gone.
Other mistake: When Charles tries to see if he can touch Elvira, he puts his hand behind hers, but we can't see the bits of his hand that are behind hers. Since she is a ghost we should be able to.
Character mistake: When Charles comes down to breakfast the evening after Elvira arrived, he comments to Ruth what a wonderful day it is, "not a cloud in the sky." But that's wrong; there's a low cloud bank and the rest is murky and gloomy.
Continuity mistake: Just before Charles sees Elvira, he takes a cigarette from a box and lights it, but when he goes to get a drink, the cigarette is gone.
Character mistake: Near the end, Madame Arcati says she'll ride her bike home - "I'll pedal home in a jiffy; it's only seven miles' - but she didn't take her bike; she was driven back with Charles, and the two ghost wives in the back. No room for a bike.
