Character mistake: Twice over in the movie (when Healy wakes up and when March at the end of the movie drives to his place) billboards for The Comedy Store appear. The program of the evening features comedians such as Tim Allen, Richard Lewis, Robert Klein and "Elaine Boosler." So they misspelled Elayne Boosler's name. (00:10:50 - 01:48:35)

Factual error: In the party scene Earth, Wind and Fire's song September is performed. The song was released November 18, 1978. The movie is set in 1977.
Holland March: Look on the bright side. Nobody got hurt.
Jackson Healy: People got hurt.
Holland March: I'm saying, I think they died quickly, though. So I don't think they got hurt.
Trivia: The line "he'll stop doing it" "stop doing what?" followed by violence was used almost identically in Iron Man 3, also written and directed by Shane Black.
