Trivia: The film's tagline incorrectly calls this the first-ever comedy horror movie. In reality, several comedy horror movies were made before this: the Abbott and Costello film "Hold That Ghost", "Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer Boris Karloff", several films where Abbott and Costello encountered classic horror movie villains (Frankenstein's Monster, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Mummy, etc.), "Little Shop of Horrors", "The Comedy of Terrors", "The Fearless Vampire Killers", "Young Frankenstein", etc.

Trivia: The film, although achieving barely any box office success, was frequently shown on late night cable TV because of its lack of sex and violence.
