When the camera shifts to a front view, they are near a stairwell and the short walls behind them are cement and brick with no lockers before the door. (00:41:05)
Continuity mistake: In the first shot of the choir (three students harmonizing on a note) the girl in pink holds the sheet with her left hand at the corner and the right hand in the middle. Cut to the wide shot, and she has the left hand in the middle and the right hand at its respective corner. (00:03:50)
Continuity mistake: The same couple are sitting behind Alex and Greville when they attended Cinderella and Swan Lake ballet at two different times.
Continuity mistake: The scene where Poseidon uses all of the snail and a random fish sends the snail down the chute. When SpongeBob and Patrick look through the window it is the Chancellor sending the same snail down the chute. (00:17:00 - 00:39:00)
Continuity mistake: Take notice of the desk lamp as Charlie and Al are talking in Charlie's new office. As the camera switches back and forth between their face to face conversation, the green glass cover of the light keeps changing position too. This happens even after Al leaves. Continuity mistake: The grilled cheese sandwich was charred while it was still cooking, but not when Jason's dad served it to him. (00:02:00)
Continuity mistake: Mikey and his friend are smoking the same inch-long joint by the back door which gets passed back and forth - no way they could keep holding/smoking it for that long given how short it was to start with. (00:04:50)
Continuity mistake: Jane Curtin is teaching to a rather seasoned class. One of those old hags says sarcastically "Because we really never do anything." As she says it, notice Eleanor turning towards her momentarily. She then turns completely, facing the opposite way, but at the cut she is repeating the turn from the beginning. Moreover, Moira's mouth closes after she says "Enough!" but the following shot on Curtin shows her still jaw-dropped. (00:04:05)
Continuity mistake: When the family stopped along the road for a break, the car towing the camper was parked diagonally to the left (not aligned with the camper). The car was visible behind Alan when he was talking to Ben, but it was not when Alan was walking toward Tyler and Charlie. Also, Alan and Ben were at various distances from the camper. Continuity mistake: When Jude is upstairs getting ready for company to arrive, he and Brahms are wearing dark blue (or black) suits. When the company comes inside, Jude and Brahms are sitting on the couch wearing grey sweaters. (00:57:43 - 00:58:14)
Continuity mistake: After PJ lets Officers John and Julia inside, there are a few continuity errors with the box on the table and the lamp's cord. Initially, the white evidence box is flush with the counter and the front side (with a hand slot) is facing the lower right corner of the screen. Later, the box is closer to the edge and the front side has been turned about 45°. The lamp's cord is sometimes flat on the table but other times there are two upward loops. Continuity mistake: The belongings that the half-brothers packed into the cargo area of the vehicle are inconsistent many times during their trip. Sometimes, none of the belongings can be seen through the windows. (00:28:09 - 00:57:45)
Continuity mistake: The direction of the desk lamp's flexible neck varies with the camera's angle. Front views of Rodger show the top of the neck aimed toward the outer edge (length) of the desk and rear views of Rodger show the top of the desk lamp's neck pointed toward him sitting at the desk. Continuity mistake: The sizes, locations, and smoothness of the pieces of glass remaining in the wall mirror after Aidan smashes it with a bat change. Initially, there were a few large and several smaller jagged-edged pieces around the top and upper-half of the right side. Later, there were four relatively large smooth-edged pieces spaced around the upper half of the mirror - one in each upper corner and one on each side at the middle. (00:15:48 - 00:19:33)
Continuity mistake: When Grandpa is hanging the Xmas lights Sally's arms are crossed. Check her left fingers resting on her right elbow. They change positions in every shot.
Continuity mistake: Daryn starts running/jogging in summer foliage. Autumn foliage is shown in an aerial view, then it switches back to summer and Daryn is running on the street. When Daryn says "bye" to Ms. Murdoch, there is spring foliage behind him but summer foliage behind him when the camera shifts. It is one timed-running session and he is wearing the same clothes. Continuity mistake: First argument. Leilani shouts "Why are you being so loud right now?", with a hand behind her neck. She does not start the next shot in that position, she puts her hand there only a second later. (00:04:05)
Continuity mistake: The protagonist just arrived to his college. Long shot as he gets off the taxi, and to the right of the frame you see a group of 3 girls crossing the street and walking on the lawn. Cut, and the 3 girls have yet to cross. (00:07:00)
Continuity mistake: James lit the cigarette he gave Amanda, and she was shown taking one puff. Amanda tells part of the Empty Man story and the ashes on the tip of her cigarette are the same when she takes a second puff. After continuing the story for about two minutes, the length of the ashes still have not increased when Amanda is about to take the third puff. (00:37:21 - 00:39:53)
Continuity mistake: The backgrounds visible while Joe is driving to get the drugs for Mara are inconsistent. There is or isn't rain on the windows and the foliage ranges from dense and green to sparse and orange/rust (Fall-like) coloring. (00:31:33 - 00:31:55)
