The Book of Life picture

Question: When Manolo and Joaquin start fighting the wild boar, General Posada only sees Joaquin confronting the boar before he is knocked unconscious. Thus, he never sees Manolo fighting the boar like a matador. When the general recovers, he believes Joaquin defeated the boar and not Manolo. Despite the townsfolk being impressed by Manolo's action, why does no one, including the nun who thanks Manolo for saving her life, speak up and tell the general what actually happened? Why don't they confirm to the general that Manolo fought and defeated the boar?

John Ohman

Answer: General Posada assumed that Joaquin saved them because he saw Joaquin not killed by the bull. He completely missed Manolo's bulfighting. He also probably assuming that because Joaquin's father was a great General, he must be like his father and a brave future soldier. - JMS.

Chosen answer: There was probably too much panic from the rampaging animals.

Answer: In earlier versions of the "Annie" story, she is orphaned when her parents are killed in a car accident. In the musical, they died in a fire. In the 2014 re-imagining, Annie lives in foster care after being abandoned by her family. Early on, she hopes to one day be reunited with them. We, the audience, never learn their whereabouts, nor whether they are alive or dead.

Question: How did Wallace manage to survive in the walrus suit? Like how does he poop and pee? Wouldn't he get sick from eating only raw fish? So many questions.

Answer: He couldn't possibly function or survive living that way. The movie's entire premise was utterly ridiculous.

Question: If Callaghan knew that his daughter was dead because of project silent sparrow, how did he attended the SFIT students showcase happily? And after the fire at SFIT, everyone presumed that Callaghan was dead. So when did Callaghan visit the project silent sparrow to know that his daughter was dead, before or after the fire?

PRiYaM

Chosen answer: The Silent Sparrow incident took place long before the events of the film. He had been plotting his revenge for some time, part of which was using the fire to steal the microbots.

Answer: I think the fire was his original revenge plot but the microbots provided a chance for an even more satisfying end to Krei. Likely Abigail disappeared a year or two before (judging by how the men hardly aged) and Krei had to rebuild his company's image therefore creating the event. The comeback would have been hard on Callaghan and may have caused him to plan the fire and his death in the explosion assuming KreiTech couldn't recover from both, perhaps even would have taken Krei with him. But then he the microbots changed everything.

Question: If no one on PK's planet communicated using voices, then why did he have vocal cords in the first place?

Yashbhatt

Chosen answer: This would be a complex speculation question. But first off, it's not the vocal chords that allow humans to speak as we do, other animals have vocal chords, yet can't speak. It's about our mouths and muscle structure that allows us to "shape" sounds into words. Given the humanoid figure of PK (i.e. small, non protruding mouth and neck length), we can assume PK's species developed the ability to speak and then evolved past that, but maintained the needed structure for speaking for whatever reason, such as eating.

Think Like a Man Too picture

Question: When Cedric makes the $10,000 bet, shouldn't he still have won the money even though Zeke moved the chips since not only was he not the person who placed the bet, but he also moved them after the host of the table surely called out no more bets?

Answer: The money was actually removed before the host said "no more bets". Verbal bets aren't taken in American roulette, so even though he said $10,000 on Black 15, since only one chip was there when he said no more bets, that was the final bet. In real life though, there were various other issues that most high end casinos wouldn't have allowed in the first place, so the scene is just a plot device to make them become strippers. Plus, it would make for a boring movie if they showed the pit boss coming in and reviewing the situation.

Answer: Yes, though that was more common in the past. Several brands contain alcohol, though they're obviously not intended as a beverage. In the book 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, ' there's a scene where the inmates get drunk on a jug of industrial cough medicine.

Question: How does Splinter know who shredder is? It's established that his first memories are from the lab so that's how he knows Eric Sacks is a bad guy and April saved them, but how does Splinter know Sacks is working for the foot and is connected to shredder? He even knows shredder trained Sacks as a boy, but this was in Japan, 20 to 30 years before Splinter was around.

Answer: Sacks told April that he was raised in Japan by a local sensei, and that he shared the lessons he learnt with her father. Splinter would have overheard Sacks mention his master at the lab, as well as when O'Neil discovered what he was up to with Project Renaissance and his connection to Shredder and the Foot Clan.

The Lego Movie picture

Question: In the real world, during the "Let's put It All Back" sequence, the son's creations are set up fighting Micro Managers. When the dad is rearranging everything, he never seems to do anything with them. If they weren't part of the Lego displays he built, why didn't he change them?

Answer: Either they were part of another set (which since in Finn's imagination they're owned by Lord Business so them being part of another set could be possible) or he just didn't get round to them. We only see him destroy some creations, not all.

Answer: I think he did. That's what made everyone so uncomfortable during the meat locker scene. He even alludes to the bishop that he knows who made the threat in the confessional. The movie wasn't about him preserving his life, but him fulfilling his role as a priest and meeting people at their darkest spaces.

Question: Harry told Dean he had enough information on him to have him locked up for life. What information was this?

MikeH

Answer: Details aren't given, but it seems that Dean is involved in local crime along with the gang that hangs around with him. Even if Harry is bluffing, and doesn't have specific proof, it is clear that he is abusive and he has the recording of him threatening Eggsy.

Answer: CCTV surveillance and such like. And a possible kingsman informant embedded in the gang leaking incriminating info. Or police informer who reports to kingsman. Or, y'know, he was lying.
