Continuity mistake: When Portnow meets with Bishop at the church, in the first closeup of Bishop's crossword puzzle the word "MUD" is the second word across at the top, and at the center of the puzzle the 4-letter word "GEAR" is written in the 5-letter answer - with the fist space left empty. However, in the next closeup of the puzzle, now the word "ETA" is the second word at the top and "MUD" is the third, and the word "GEARS" has the "S" added, with the letter "G" started properly in the first space of the answer. Continuity mistake: At the cemetery, when Harry is trapped at the statue, Voldemort raises his right arm and places his finger on Harry's forehead stating, "I can touch you now." While Voldemort's arm remains raised his sleeve slides down towards his shoulder, but is back up at his elbow in the close-up. He seems to have the same problem in other shots during this scene. Continuity mistake: In the scene where John commits suicide by slitting his wrist, the soles of his shoes go from brand new and unmarked (quite clearly seen in a couple of close up shots) to scuffed and worn (also seen quite well in a couple of shots). (01:34:25)
Continuity mistake: When Carly locks herself in the truck, the owner throws to the ground the box holding the fan belt and a few other things, right beside the driver's side of the truck. In the next exterior shot, there is nothing on the ground. (00:50:50)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mike Teavee has smashed up the red pumpkin-looking thing, he smashes it cleanly into two or three quite big pieces. When his father says "Mike, please" the pieces behind him are much smaller and all over. (00:41:35)
Continuity mistake: When Anakin is in the medical centre lying on his back being transformed into Darth Vader, you can see the main part of the mask being lowered into place but Anakin is not wearing the neck section of the mask that it connects to. We then see the main part lowering directly downwards, in the next shot the neck section is in place. (02:01:20)
Continuity mistake: When Lindsey is at her parent's house during spring break, they are discussing her father's hair. In the shot when her mother opens the fridge there are only 5 cookies on the plate, but when the shot changes and Lindsey is grabbing some cookies there is a whole plate of them. And the honey pot is missing too. (00:30:30)
Continuity mistake: The guard sitting on the back of the train has sweat covering the front of his shirt. In the next shot, the sweat is gone.
Revealing mistake: When Jimmy attempts to kill himself, the bullet hole on his back is far above where he shot himself in the chest. At least 4-6 inches higher, AND the gun was slanted downward.
Continuity mistake: Mary Ann pulls the cord out of the iPod and holds it with the screen facing her palm, as she explains about Robbie's Algeria report. However, in the next shot the iPod is held in her hand the opposite way. (00:06:55)
Continuity mistake: In the fight between Barkis and Victor in the church, Victor slashes at Barkis with the fork and leaves 3 very noticable tears in Barkis' jacket. These tears aren't seen in any of the subsequent shots. (01:09:15)
Continuity mistake: When Sharkboy and Lavagirl burst into the classroom looking for Max, there is writing on the blackboard ("Science, Chapter Two") written in yellow chalk. Strangely, later in the scene the writing is now written in white chalk, and the handwriting of the text is noticeably different. Then, later it goes back to yellow! (00:16:45 - 00:17:40)
Continuity mistake: After Lisa pretends to be reading a magazine to avoid the security guards who're looking for her near her gate, she spots Jackson and you can see two men sitting at a table eating lunch in the foreground of the shot. When Jackson sees her and starts running after her, both the table and the men are gone (Jackson runs through the place they used to be). (00:56:45)
Continuity mistake: While being chased by the 3 BMWs, the passenger's headrest of the Dodge minivan driven by Brad changes from a 1-piece (part of the seat), to a headrest that you can adjust the height and it keeps changing during the scene.
Continuity mistake: After Evangeline has left with Aunt Adelaide, Nanny McPhee enters the children's room, and as she and Chrissie walk to the bed they pass Eric's, Lily's and Tora's beds, with the bare wood floor at the center - there is no rug. However, when Nanny McPhee leaves their room the long red and white rug is at the center of the floor, between all the beds. (00:51:55 - 00:52:55)
Continuity mistake: When drunken Stewie is talking at the breakfast table to Brian, Brian has bacon and only one egg on his plate. After Stewie leaps from the shelf, Brian suddenly has two eggs.
Visible crew/equipment: During the freeway chase, when both the Hummer and the Dodge Magnum are shown flipping over at the same time, the "Bay Buster" camera truck is briefly visible in the background.
Revealing mistake: In the opening scene, the helmet closes on the guy's head. Inside there are spikes on all sides, but when his head falls to the ground the blood only comes out the bottom. The spikes should have also gone into the other side of his head and blood should have run down his face to the floor. (00:04:20)
Continuity mistake: When the Seagrass is attacked, the two girls are thrown through the cabin's rear windows, landing on the outside deck. When the boat's owner finds it, a camera circles the Seagrass from a distance and the rear windows are intact. When he and Elizabeth board the boat, the windows are again broken. Continuity mistake: When Candy is talking to her boss, he puts the money in the box and it changes position, then even disappears in one shot. (00:19:05)
