Visible crew/equipment: When Albert and his friends are in front of Doris' house they are singing a song about going to the park. As they are finishing the song and leaving to go to the park, you can see the reflection of the microphone in the window of Doris' house.
Factual error: In the scene where the fireflies light the fireworks there is one problem: The chemical that creates light wouldn't ignite the wick on a firework.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mike picks up Deborah, we see a shot of his Audi and there is no licence plate on the front of his car. In the shot we see him driving, it has one.
Audio problem: When the band is singing "You're Out of this World," when one of the band members sings at one part, the music starts before he starts to move his mouth.
Factual error: In the scene that takes place in Ollie's office after the death of his wife, he is talking to Arthur Brickman who is sitting in front of a plaque for the band Songs:Ohia's album, "Ghost Tropic." We know that the scene is happening 7 years in the past, because Gertie is a baby. "Ghost Tropic" wasn't released until November of 2000.
Continuity mistake: When Ricky is in front of the shop talking to his girlfriend, one moment he has his hands out, the next moment he is holding a cigarette and in the next scene, no cigarette.
Revealing mistake: This happens at the end of the movie. When No Good is tenderizing the meat with the brass knuckles, you can see that his hand doesn't come anywhere near the meat.
Continuity mistake: When Gummer and Black Hand Kelly make an agreement, Kelly looks to his left and he isn't holding a glass. When it cuts, he is looking to his right and holding a glass. (00:40:35)
Continuity mistake: When at the Men's Association, Mike Wellington raises a glass and toasts Stepford. He does this with his left hand. When the shot changes to show all the men, he is still doing it with his left hand. But when the shot changes back to Mike, the glass is now in his right hand, with no time between shots to change hands.
Continuity mistake: When Harold and Kumar stop to take a pee and then leave, Harold gets bitten by a raccoon. In one shot Harold's blood stain is seen on his jacket, but in the next shot it's gone, then back again and so forth, until the car comes to a stop.
Continuity mistake: When Emily is spying on Cody on the sightseeing bus, she sits down and the camera goes to a close up of her face and we see small worm like camera device comes out of the right side of her sunglasses, but when it cuts to the next shot, further back from her face, we can see the device has disappeared even though no time has passed between shots. Continuity mistake: When Helen takes the kids to the fashion show, they walk past Paris Hilton, who is sitting just to the left of the stairs. A minute later, when the little girl sees Paris' dog, Paris is now sitting on the opposite side of the runway.
Continuity mistake: In a profile shot, Largeman and Sam sit close together in a bathtub talking about Largeman's mom. Largeman begins to tear up and when the film cuts to Sam saying "Largeman" we see she is suddenly leaning against the back of the tub. When it returns to the profile she is kneeling close to him again.
Continuity mistake: When the crew is in the submarine and they're just about to see the shark, Steve is holding on to the steering wheel. But when the view is of the steering wheel and little windows, no hands are on the wheel. Cut back to the crew, Steve is once again holding on to the wheel.
Visible crew/equipment: When Len, Eddie and Len's henchmen get out of the van they are in, you can see the camera crew (including soundman) filming in the reflection of the van's surface.
Revealing mistake: Throughout the extended scene where Ralph was training with Father Hibbert in pouring-down rain, both characters' faces were completely dry when they should have been completely wet.
Continuity mistake: The amount of water on Brad's shirt keeps changing between shots.
Continuity mistake: The movie starts with the shot of a sculpture and a raven landing on it. From the side shot the raven is on the left sculpture, from above he is on the right sculpture.
Continuity mistake: When Oscar is at Sykes' desk he throws a load of documents at Oscar and when he piles the up in the first shot there are very few, but in the second shot there are three times as many. (00:13:10)
