Continuity mistake: When Alex and Lucy are sitting outside on the step at night, as Lucy tells Alex about her old boyfriend, her hands go from being down on the floor, to on her knees, to back on the floor, then back on her knees between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Hugh Grant first goes underground and is interrogated by the "Mole" people, his arms are held behind his back and the hair on his forehead changes between shots. His hair appears combed back in several shots and some wisps hanging down in others. They alternate back and forth between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the preacher is in his car talking to Dudley, how far wound up the window is differs.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Jimmy Muir is playing for Sheffield United against Manchester United, Annie and Ken stand up to cheer Jimmy on at what looks like a packed stadium. However, when they stand up, you can see dozens of empty seats behind them.
Continuity mistake: Upset with her husband's growing obsession with his mistress Maya, Tara the Queen attempts to commit suicide by slicing her wrists while bathing. She makes deep cuts in both wrists. Maya rescues Tara the Queen when she enters the Queen's chambers. Two scenes later, Tara the Queen attends the execution of Maya's lover. Magically, Tara's arms are unbandaged and unscarred. The execution took place only days after her attempted suicide.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Quasimodo is reciting his alphabet to Frollo, we see Frollo pick up his goblet for a drink when he says "D?" By "E?", he still has the goblet in his hand. After saying "F?" he raises the goblet and takes a drink. When the camera pans back to Quasimodo saying "Festival", the goblet is in clear sight even when we hear Frollo spit out his drink.
Continuity mistake: When Miranda Richardson is sitting on her bed after being threatened by Jennifer Jason Leigh, Miranda's blue dressing gown is pulled up on her shoulder. In the next shot it has slipped down. It carries on like that for a few shots.
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, the young girl has Japanese characters painted on her face. They differ slightly between shots - e.g. the square between her eyebrows moves significantly. (00:03:20)
Continuity mistake: When the girls kidnap Goldie's dad they walk out of his house and to the Jaguar with keys in hand. The shot gradually switches to an overhead shot as they walk to the car. But even before they get in, exhaust can be seen coming out from the Jaguar indicating it is already running. After they get in, the sound of Maddie starting the car can be heard, even though it was already obviously running.
Continuity mistake: When Lee goes to see her father, she gets up to leave and Cahill has his cigarette in the left side of his mouth, when the scene cuts to Lee leaving it is in the right side of his mouth. When they do the close-up it is back in the left side of his mouth.
Continuity mistake: When the survivors of the sunken ship are floating in the life raft, Geig makes a comment while observing the cloudless night sky: "look, there goes Shepherd..."(something to that effect, in reference to the recent launch of Allen Shepherd in the first Mercury manned-space flight). In actuality, Shepherd's flight was a day launch and a sub-orbital flight lasting only few minutes. He never achieved orbit and therefore would not be visible travelling in the night sky.
Continuity mistake: When the kids take Mr. Roth's car, the lights inside the car turns on. When it cuts, the lights are off.
Continuity mistake: When Marty first brings home Shiloh and his mother asks him to hand his dirty shirt to her, as she hands him a clean one, the two exchange shirts twice. They first exchange shirts on a shot over Marty's shoulder, then they cut to over his mom's shoulder and the same exchange happens again. (00:09:15)
Continuity mistake: As Sydney is watching the craps game, 2 threes are thrown, but 'seven' is called out. (00:43:15)
Continuity mistake: At the end, when Lisa goes to Lewis's apartment, watch the apartment door when Louis's sister leaves. In one shot, she's leaving and pulling the door closed behind her. Cut, and the door is wide open, with Christian Slater resting his hand on it. Cut again, and the sister is pulling it closed again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Faye and T.B. Player burst into the appliance store to announce the song was on the radio, watch the blue car behind them. It moves forward twice, depending on the camera shot.
Continuity mistake: Bullet approaches the Jaguar with the two rich kids. He is leaning against the roof of the car, but in the close-up where he spits through the half opened window, he's leaning against the glass instead. (00:05:25)
