Loverboy picture

Corrected entry: When Randy's mom orders the pizza "with extra anchovies" she hasn't registered at the motel yet. However, when Randy arrives with the pizza, he goes right up to room 214.

Correction: She ordered the pizza while in the room. Since being in the room, she must have registered (even though most likely under a fake name). She must have also given the room number to the pizza place so she can get what she came there for.

Who's Harry Crumb? picture

Corrected entry: In the car chase scene when the brakes go out and Harry gets locked on the back of the car in front of him, an overhead shot shows just Harry in the car when there was a passenger with him the whole time.

Correction: The following scene shows John Candy trying to keep the lady ducked under the seat.

An Innocent Man picture

Corrected entry: Detective Parnell ends up in prison at the end of the film and is shown being led through to the general prison population. This never, ever happens. Ex police officers (and prison guards) who are sentenced to prison terms are always put in protective segregation. There are no exceptions and the prisoner cannot request they be allowed into the general population - it just doesn't happen.

Correction: This is a persistent urban myth, and it is wrong. If possible an ex-police officer or prison guard will be incarcerated in another state, well away from the scene of the crime. If that isn't possible they can request they be assigned to Administrative Segregation but they do not have to. They can request they be admitted to the general prison population, and most do. Drew Walter Peterson (look him up) probably wishes he hadn't as he got clobbered by a disgruntled inmate wielding a meal tray.

She-Devil picture

Corrected entry: Ruth destroys the house because Bob has listed it as one of his assets. But by the time she destroys it, he no longer lives there. She could have stuck Bob with the kids, whether or not the house had been destroyed, so there was really no reason for her to do it.

Correction: She destroyed the house to keep him from benefitting from it in any way. If she'd simply left the kids with him, it's possible that he might have sold the house for a nice profit. And with such obvious arson, the insurance company would never have paid out, which means he'd get no money for it that way either.

Correction: It's a dream so this wouldn't matter because anything can happen in a dream.

The Tall Guy picture

Corrected entry: Both Ron Anderson's show "The Rubber Faced Revue" and "Elephant." that are shown, are being staged at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, simultaneously. It's meant to look like two different theatres, but it's only one, doubling (rather unconvincingly) as two.

Correction: The Theatre Royal in Drury Lane is too expensive for a long run of a play. Plays will debut there, catch their audience, then move on to a West End theatre. Obviously the Rubber Face Revue had done just that, vacating the Royal in time for the debut of "Elephant."
