Continuity mistake: During the scenic elevator rescue scenes, the building has moved across the downtown core and is now located next to the Transamerica Pyramid, which is many city blocks to the west.
Continuity mistake: This film's set in the 50s, but the actors use 20 Austrian Schilling bank notes, which were only issued in the mid 1970s.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Thunderbolt and Lightfoot are in the car with the crazy driver. The car goes over the embankment and as it flips you can see a wheel break off. A short time later they both drive off in the same car, with the wheel attached again.
Continuity mistake: During the chase where Larry's Charger knocks a police car in the river, the '69 Charger becomes a '68 Charger in one shot, as seen from the front. The '68 has a different grille than the '69 models. (01:09:40)
Continuity mistake: After Burt Reynolds hits the guard in the crotch with the football, a wide shot shows 2:29 left in the game. He hits him again on the next play, and the scoreboard shows 2:35 left. The clock in a football game, of course, counts down, not up.
Continuity mistake: In the first "Godfather" film, we see Vito Corleone's tombstone, and it says there that he was born on April 29. In this movie, however, Sonny curses the Japanese for bombing Pearl Harbor on Vito's birthday. The attack on Pearl Harbor happened on December 7, 1941.
Continuity mistake: When the girl is driving the truck, you can plainly see the front bumper get bent, but a few scenes later it is straight again.
Continuity mistake: When Hadrian jumps the mustang over the upturned car, the film slows down to show the jump in slow motion. When the car lands, it hits so hard the car spins around and ends up facing the cars it jumped. The scene is then repeated at normal speed, but just as the car would be shown spinning out, a shot of the car driving away from the accident is shown.
Continuity mistake: When Poirot and Mr. Ratchett first meet in the restaurant car, Poirot has to correct Ratchett's pronunciation of his name. Poirot then points with his right hand toward Ratchett, but when it cuts to a close-up of Poirot, both his hands are on the table. The angle changes back, and Poirot's hand is once again lifted.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the film and in the shot of the 747 as it turns to change course to Salt Lake City the company's name "Columbia" is printed on the aircraft's side on top of a large, white rectangle. After the aircraft comes to a stop on the tarmac the white rectangle is gone and the name is painted directly on its metallic fuselage.
Continuity mistake: Bronson shoots the first thug in the lower stomach but the cops state that he was shot in the chest.
Continuity mistake: When Eve is making a special treat and it starts on fire. She sprays a fire extinguisher onto it. It shows foam covering only one side of the food. Then, it shows the food again a few seconds later and it is completely covered. (01:01:50)
Continuity mistake: Right after the train is hijacked by Robert Shaw at 28th Street station, there are 2 additional hostages in the front car (for a total of 19) that disappear after the train is hijacked between 23rd Street and 28th Street.
Continuity mistake: During the scene at the airport when the tower OK's the plane to land we can see it is a 707 with TWA-like colors of red and white. Then when there is the shot of the plane on the ground it turns into a DC-8 with orange markings. When the plane takes off into the air the camera shows the 707 again.
Continuity mistake: When Jim and Mike are in the car discussing his split form the Stray Cats, the camera is looking through the rear window showing that they are about to be overtaken by a blue car. But when the camera angles changes to the side window, they are overtaken by a red truck and the blue car has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: In the film Sam Waterson, Nick Carraway, goes to his first Gatsby party wearing white pants, a blazer and a striped tie unlike all the other men who are dressed in tuxedos. Later in the film attending another Gatsby party Carraway is wearing a tuxedo like everyone else. Yet, during a dance sequence in which several partiers are dancing the Charleston, we see Carraway appearing on the left side of a shot dancing while wearing the white pants, blazer and striped tie he was wearing at the first party.
Continuity mistake: When Buster and Billie are at Slim Mim's Jamboree near the end of the film, Buster is wearing an open-collar shirt. When they step outside to get some air, it changes to a button-down shirt and tie.
Continuity mistake: Nini's mother fishes the telephone out of the bathtub. A naked little boy prances around the room and Christian De Sica is in a quite recognizable position, leg up scrubbing the sole of his foot. Cut, and De Sica is now simply sitting in the tub as if nothing happened. (00:22:00)

Continuity mistake: Gene Hackman returns a second cookie to Harrison Ford's dish that he hadn't taken - or perhaps it's the same cookie he picked up and returned a moment earlier. Either way, the cookie had suddenly appeared in Hackman's hands going from one shot to another. (00:30:35)
