Continuity mistake: Hrundi is watching Bill Kelso and his lady friend playing pool. As he watches, note that all of the pool balls are in the corner of the table. Hrundi then talks to them and becomes friendly and gets Kelso's autograph. Then, during the scene suddenly all the pool balls have changes their position and they are now spread out instead of being in the corner. Nobody moved them and nobody shot the balls.
Continuity mistake: In the last scene of the movie Eleanor leaves by boat to go back to her castle prison. When we see Henry waving good-bye he is standing right next to a post when we see him from the back, but this post is nowhere when he is shown from the water. (02:08:10)
Continuity mistake: When Coogan first meets Julie in the New York police station and puts her coat on for her you can see his cigarette in his hand, then his mouth, then his hand again as the camera angle changes.
Revealing mistake: During the bank hold-up at the beginning of the film, one of the pushes a man on the wall. It wobbles like cardboard.
Visible crew/equipment: When Peter rolls up the car window upon arival at the Merry estate, crew members' reflections can be seen in the window.
Factual error: The German tanks are American M47s, post WW2. They had the same hulls as the M46s (also post-WW2), but a better slope and greater effective armor on the turrets.
Factual error: In the famous tugboat scene, Fannie rides out on a New York Central tugboat painted jade green - a color which wasn't instituted on the boats until the early 1960s. To be accurate, the tugboat would have to have been painted red with a black stack and the New York Central logo.
Continuity mistake: When Finian and Og are talking in the forest, Og is kneeling on a log. He leans over and falls into the river. You can see him completely submerged. He stands up and continues his conversation with Finian while standing in the river and his hair is now completely dry.
Revealing mistake: When Carole and Jim rush out of Herbie to find Thorndyke under the bonnet, you can see that Carole is not Michele Lee but her stunt double.
Continuity mistake: During the song "Hey Bulldog," before the song starts the dogs are on a leash barking. When the song starts and the dogs stop barking, the leash disappears.
Continuity mistake: Many times, especially in the second half of the movie, the background color changes between shots even in two shots of the same set.
Factual error: This movie is set in the pre-Civil War Old West. At about 01:06:50, a slave, who is hoping to be taken to Mexico (where slavery is prohibited), is trying to bamboozle the lady played by Shelly Winters into believing he has vast astrological knowledge. And he points at the sky and mentions Pluto (which hadn't yet been discovered then). (01:06:50)
Continuity mistake: In the bar or "Gasthof," Rebecca asks a patron for something to write: "Haben Sie etwas zum Schreiben?" The old man hands her a pen that he takes from his breast pocket. In the next scene, the pen with which Rebecca is supposed to be writing is back in his breast pocket. (01:12:06)
Continuity mistake: During the opening credits, Charles Bronson is walking along the pier, carrying his bag over his left shoulder. He stops in a separate shot, grinning at the camera and tossing the highball glass he was carrying into the sea (as soldiers normally do). In this same shot, he switches the bag to his right hand. Back to the previous angle, and Bronson is again walking with his bag over his left shoulder, like nothing happened. (00:01:15)
Continuity mistake: The girl named Why is in the bathtub. Frédérique brought her a cup of tea that she indignantly put aside because it had an excess 1/2 sugarcube. She put the cup to the edge of the tub with the spoon facing one direction, but during the conversation the spoon turns 180° on its own during a cut. (00:07:40)
Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the opening title sequence if you look behind Silence as he rides through the snow covered forest you can see what looks like a couple of skiers whizz by. (00:05:34)
Revealing mistake: When the historic "Mahna Mahna" sequence in the sauna ends, the girls come out of the building running through falling snow in all their youthful bounciness. The "snow" comes from the left, at a rather extreme angle; if it were real snow there would be an awful icy wind blowing, but the girls' hair is mostly unperturbed, and in the shots that follow there's no snow at all. It's obvious that this snow is just coming from a fan kept off frame. (00:51:15)
Factual error: The film tells the stories of five male/female couples. They have conflicting aims in their relationships. For example, one wants to become a parent while the other does not want children. Thus they all obtain supplies of contraceptive pills (in bottles) and re-label them as aspirins or vitamin tablets (or vice versa) depending on whether they want pregnancy or not. The bottles get mixed up, causing panic and anxiety for all involved. All the interlocked stories are based on a complete error. Contraceptive pills are not stored in bottles. Contraceptive pills are packaged in 'blister packs'. This basic fact makes a nonsense of the entire film.
Continuity mistake: When we see Norman standing by the desk in his boss' office, you can see there is nothing in front of the boss on his desk, but when we see the boss in the next shot, a piece of paper suddenly appears.
Continuity mistake: The ford transit van used by the demolition men Ron and Mr Perry changes between scenes from a long wheelbase van reg no. KGX107D to a standard van reg no. OYO576F.
