Visible crew/equipment: When Verbal drops the Zippo lighter in the police office, Chazz Palminteri leans down to pick it up. When he leans down out of frame, there are 2 "C-stands" visible in the background. These shiny, adjustable stands are general-purpose utility holders on a movie set, used to position lights and light control material for a setup (i.e. flags, scrims, diffusion, etc).
Continuity mistake: After Mike and Ned fight with lightsabers, when they are in the kitchen Mike's wedding ring moves from his left hand to his right hand and back again, depending on the angle of the shot. (00:21:05)
Visible crew/equipment: Just after Lovell secures the hatch for LM jettison, and Swigert states "Okay, pyro batts look good, I don't think we're gonna have to tie those other batteries," there is a visible bearded crew member wearing glasses and a hoodie on the lower right hand side of the screen. Visible crew/equipment: At the start of the Exodus, the Narrator states, "After the stifling night of terror, came a day such as the world had," and just as the Narrator continues to say, "never seen," a crew member wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and dark pants is visible walking in the background, at the right side of the screen.
Continuity mistake: In Uruguay, when the woman puts Christian Szell's folded shirts in the drawer, the camera pans toward the photographs on the dresser. There's an unframed photo of his brother Klaus in the closeup, but it's a different photo in the next wide shot. (00:38:25)
Continuity mistake: When Miller's men are about to take the bunker under the radar tower, they are kneeling on the ground behind some bushes discussing their flanking moves and Jackson is about two feet away from Reiben to his left, but when it cuts Jackson is now behind Reiben. (01:22:35)
Continuity mistake: The wagon, which is full of explosives, is on fire, so Mulan cuts Kahn (the horse) free with her sword and jumps onto Khan. She starts to ride away, while she holds the reins in her left hand and the sword with her right hand, up in the air. The wagon explodes and in the next shot, she still holds the reins in her left hand, though the sword, still in midair in her right hand, is now actually in its sheath, which is always attached to the left side of her belt. Some arrows are missing on the ground as well. Then her sheathed sword lands on the ground beside her. (00:53:45)
Continuity mistake: When the dry cleaning arrives and Holly lays it out on the table, right behind her is the large flip-over wall hanging, with a picture of balloons. When she pulls the leather jacket out of the plastic, the wall hanging is flipped open to a picture of a bird. (00:53:10)
Factual error: In one scene, focused on a period wood-staked pickup truck parked on the street, you can see clearly a modern Jeep Grand Cherokee parked on the other side of the street.
Continuity mistake: When Patch and his roommate are arguing about why he wanted Patch out of the college, the book on the desk changes to a very different looking book between shots - note the tabs and red-edged pages.
Revealing mistake: At the end when Brian jumps onto the semi truck to save Vince if you look closely at the back of Brian's pants you can clearly see the safety cable that holds him onto the semi truck. (01:26:17)
Continuity mistake: Andy is discovered missing. While the warden is walking to Andy's cell, he tells the guard to question "him", meaning the Morgan Freeman character. He points to Freeman with his left hand but when the scene changes its point of view he is pointing with his right hand. (01:45:45)
Continuity mistake: The licence plate of the taxi which hits Sebastian in the end changes during the shot. (01:27:35)
Factual error: In a shot in Harlem, a Ford Econoline AVIS rental truck drives on the adjacent street. The specific Econoline van was at least a mid-90's to 2000+ model van and the movie takes place in the 70s.
Continuity mistake: As Mr. Fletcher is riding up on horseback to greet Lady Ashley, you can see him riding up next to a parked, red truck, that has the front end pointed away from the house. Keep an eye on that truck, because it will have the front end pointing towards the house, as Fletcher gets closer to Lady Ashley. (00:27:50)
Visible crew/equipment: While the winding road up the "bump" is being built, Ram is on the radio updating on the Legion's movements, and he says, "They're moving up hill 49, half a mile from our road." At the very start of the next shot when it cuts to Magda, Marcus, and Asher at the jeep, we can see the film crew's clapperboard in front of Kirk Douglas, as it swiftly moves offscreen at the bottom right side of screen. Continuity mistake: When Stuckey hits Vivian she rips his watch off. You can see it fly off to the left. When she bites him it's back on his wrist. Then when Edward pulls him off Vivian it's gone again. (01:00:20)
