Continuity mistake: When Eduardo finds the letter on the mantlepiece about them apparently stealing the idea for Facebook and asks Mark if they did or not, he places a bottle on the mantlepiece just before he finds the letter. Continuity mistake: When Tommy comes to pick up Greg on the street where Greg was playing with some kids, Greg goes to get in Tommy's car. As he walks around it, a kid with a burgundy striped shirt is standing by the car with the football, but as he's getting in in the next shot the kid changes to the green shirt kid holding the football. During this part of the scene, the kid by the car changes back and forth between the green shirt and the burgundy stripe shirt kid several times. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: When Elton and John Reid are kissing in the cupboard John's hand keeps changing between shots. John's hand rolls down Elton's chest, then the next shot it's on Elton's cheek, the next shot he takes his hand away, then the next shot his hand is by Elton's mouth and Elton pretends to bite John's thumb.
Continuity mistake: When Russ and Frank are in the hotel pool the woman in the left is holding a cigarette. In the close-up it swaps to a lemonade. Then in the wide angle it swaps back to a cigarette.
Continuity mistake: When Pope Ratzinger and Cardinal Bergoglio are having lunch with pizza and drink, the Pope places a Fanta bottle on his side on the right. When he says the prayer and the shot is from the above, the bottle returns to its place next to the other one and then it is again on the Pope's side. (01:34:45)

Factual error: The aircraft shown in the movie is a DC-3, however the correct aircraft would have been a Convair CV-240 which is a very different model.
Factual error: The advertising boards on the upper level of the arena for Delta Airlines and United Airlines are anachronistic for 1999. The logo for Delta did not take that form until 2007, and the logo for United did not take that form until their merger with Continental Airlines in 2010.
Continuity mistake: When Parker is waiting to listen to Elvis sing for the first time the mic cable changes positions between shots.
Other mistake: Elsa Brecht is holding an official piece of mail sent from the Coconut Grove Hotel in Miami but it's postmarked Orlando, Florida. There's no legitimate reason the mail would be postmarked Orlando when Orlando is 235 miles from Miami. (01:24:16)
Continuity mistake: When Miguel is with the pedophile, he is given bread (or something similar) to eat. Shot changes, and the bread is suddenly bitten. The bread's length keeps changing several times between shots.
Factual error: Eazy-E sports a black Chicago White Sox hat with a white logo early in the movie in 1986, but the logo didn't officially rollout until 1991.
Continuity mistake: About where she's heading 5 miles, in one shot Cheryl's (Reese Witherspoon) watch and bracelet are on her left wrist and in one shot they are both on her right wrist. Then throughout the rest of the film, Cheryl's watch and bracelet are on her left.
Continuity mistake: The glass of beer Donnie knocks over at the party (which falls onto the ground floor) is at its previous place in the next shot. (00:51:15)
