Continuity mistake: In the scene where the FBI agent and Homer are going into the photo booth to view the video, look to the right of the photo booth before they enter. There is a white cup next to the booth. After they have watched the video and are standing outside the booth talking, the cup is now red instead of white.
Continuity mistake: When the dentist shows Ralph the Big Book of British Smiles, he first shows him a picture of Sherlock Holmes with horrid teeth and all of his teeth are there. When Ralph starts getting terrified of it, it shows the same picture, but this time one of his teeth on the bottom right hand corner of his mouth is missing.
Continuity mistake: Season 20, episode 16, "Eeny Teeny Maya Mo." As Marge is feeding Maggie a grapefruit, Bart takes out his bongo drums and plays them. Watch as Bart plays - the shot zooms in from the back of Bart towards Maggie, and you can't see Marge in the scene sitting close to Maggie; the next shot shows her though.
Continuity mistake: Immediately after being chained to a tree, Stampy crushes several objects (a lawnmower, a bike, a doghouse, and a trash can). In the very next shot, which comes after a commercial break, all of these objects are in fine shape. Then the shot changes again and we see them destroyed once again.
Continuity mistake: When the school bus drops off Bart and Milhouse at the Simpson house, Bart puts his backpack on frontwards and starts krumping. When he walks through the front door, he is still wearing his backpack on his front. It then cuts to inside the house, and we still see him coming through the door, but the backpack is gone.
Continuity mistake: When the men from Festival Cruise Lines arrive at the Simpson house, they park in the left-hand lane (closest to the house) with the car facing oncoming traffic, seen both when they first pull up and, more, in the background while informing Milhouse about his parents. But in the overhead shot of the house, the car is parked the other way around, following the direction of traffic.
Continuity mistake: When Homer is shot at the hippie farm, he ends up with a flower in his head, stem first. But he put the flower in the gun barrel stem first, as well. From a shot at that close a range and that velocity, there's no way the flower could have turned around in mid-air.
Plot hole: In "Life's a Glitch", Lisa finds out that she has a seat on the spacecraft going to Mars as the proofreader. How, though, was she not informed of this before going to the rocket? The family only finds out about the rocket after finding Krusty's letter/invitation and the fact that she was on the list there would be no reason why she wouldn't have been informed of this. It was still New Year's Day so if it had been by mail then it would have to arrive before the New Year so as to make the plan work, being as it was a public holiday and no mail would be delivered. Therefore it would have to be delivered personally or someone would need to contact her. There were also many well known celebrities and figures ready to board the rocket. I can't imagine they were all home in time to gather their mail and were all somehow contacted, yet Lisa was simply walking around town and at church and they couldn't find her? There was also no evidence to suggest anything would have stopped her from either receiving the invitation in time or being informed of the mission.
