Continuity mistake: When Rachel finds out that Ross and Julie are getting a cat, watch Rachel's neck. When she says "together?" she's not wearing a necklace; cut to Ross and Julie for a fraction of a second, then when it cuts back to Rachel saying "both of you?" she's suddenly wearing a necklace. It then disappears again when she says "isn't that just lovely?" hanging off the side of the tray she's holding.
Plot hole: When the invisible Spongebob and Patrick scare Sandy, they are using a sheet to appear as "ghosts". However, the form of the sheet reveals that they don't have their helmet bowls on. How could they survive in the treedome that time? They sounded fine, not dehydrated.
Continuity mistake: Lily and Marshall mention that they've been using the same toothbrush ever since they've been together, but in the 14th episode of the 1st season, "Zip, zip, zip", Marshall and Lily are simultaneously brushing their teeth with a tooth brush each (before Ted and Victoria get home).
Visible crew/equipment: When Dewey yells for Lois because the bow was put on the present, if you look to the left of Lois, you will see a crewmember kneeling down, handing Lois the red dress, who is holding a bucket of water. He quickly gets out of the camera's view. [This is on the DVD of the first season. Someone said on the audio commentary that after catching it, they deliberately left it in to see if anyone would spot it. It's still a mistake, but that's why it's there.]
Continuity mistake: In episode 10 (Joey's Place) the Tanner family move Joey into the garage, redecorating it so the entire place is filled with Joey's furniture, yet in episode 12 (Our Very First Promo), it shows the characters in and out of the garage which is completely empty and back the way it was before Joey moved in.
Continuity mistake: Alan is sitting at the kitchen table talking to his son Jake about a math test on which Jake got a bad grade. At the beginning of the scene Alan holds the open test in his left hand. When the camera switches back to him a second later the test is now in his right hand. Finally at the end of the scene the test is back in his left hand but is now folded.
Continuity mistake: Just before Peter enters the tunnel in his new car, the white line in the middle of the road is blotchy and not continuous. When the shot changes to Peter's POV, the line has completely disappeared. The next shot which shows the car side on, there is now a straight white line on the road.
Continuity mistake: In "The Alliance" (1-4), Pam says that the next office birthday is Meredith's, but it isn't until the next month. Later, in "Survivor Man", it is said that Meredith's birthday is at the end of 'Birthday Month', when many employees have birthdays close together. It wouldn't be possible for Meredith's birthday to both be the next office birthday but also at the end of the following month, which is stated to have many other birthdays in it.
Factual error: An egotistical, prissy and dishonest lawyer like Mr. Fletcher wouldn't make the mistake of allowing his name to be misspelled on his office door. It reads "Winfred Fletcher." His first name, as it's pronounced throughout the episode, is "Winford."
Continuity mistake: After Mrs. Russo puts Justin and Max in the lair, she is wondering if she should put the big lock on the door or not. She decides not to and puts the lock down on the counter. Two shots later you see the lock is back on the door, but unlocked. You never see Mrs. Russo put the lock on the door.
Continuity mistake: Near the end when Jeff and Lester confront "Greta" in the cage she pulls out her knife. Jeff attempts to disarm her but she cuts off his tie. She cuts it very close to the top, leaving very little around his neck, but when it cuts back to him after showing the piece hit the floor there is much more tie left.
Continuity mistake: In George's memorial service, the extras are totally different in the shots from George's point of view to the shots from the back of the room. Look for the woman with brunette hair and orange overalls - she's there in the forward shots but missing in the reverses. The chairs, tables, props, costumes and character placements are all completely discontinuous.
