Correction: Kathy Baker does appear in the segment 'Fantasies about Rebecca' as a customer of the bank. And many actors choose to remain uncredited, as Glenn Close does here.

Pushing Tin picture

Corrected entry: In the scene at the end where Cusack and Thornton stand on the runway: the airport shown looks like it is in the middle of the desert - anyone in the airline industry knows that a 747 would never land at a tiny airport in the middle of nowhere.

Correction: 747s aren't used exclusively for passenger transport. As the current largest aircraft, they are preferred for long-haul cargo. Cargo aircraft often land outside of major hubs. Example: Airborne Express in Wilmington, OH. There's not a major anything for at least 40 miles around. Beyond that, the "airplane graveyards" are primarily located in the middle of the desert (AZ), and large aircraft such as the L1011 Tristar / DC-10 / 747s / whatever, land at these locations for retirement or storage quite frequently.

Bringing Out the Dead picture

Corrected entry: When Nicholas Cage is in the hospital with Patricia Arquette's dad and dad tells him he has had enough, the nurse come in to shock him and she puts a spot of the gel in the middle of one and when she rubs it together she doesn't spread it out. She actually almost drops one.

Correction: The hospital is under staffed and overfilled. This is the hasty reaction of an overworked nurse, not neccessarily a mistake.

Drop Dead Gorgeous picture

Corrected entry: After Rebecca is blown up, Gladys yells at Amber "I should have killed you when I had the chance!", making it sound like she decided not to kill her. But she blew up Amber's trailer and dropped a stage light where she was supposed to be standing: wasn't she trying to kill her?

Correction: What she means is, she should have taken advantage of more chances to have killed her even if those chances would mean more of a chance of getting caught. Better to get caught than to have her daughter die. But that was irrelevent, and was stated in a paniced situation.

Eye of the Beholder picture

Corrected entry: When Ashley Judd shoots the agent in the trailer, near the end, he's wearing a red jacket. He gets up and runs to the door, and he's wearing a grey jacket. The jacket changes between red and grey as he's persuing her.

Correction: The red jacket is underneath the grey one and it doesnt keep changing. When you see him wearing the red jacket, those are the flashbacks.

The Bone Collector picture

Stigmata picture

Corrected entry: After she is inflicted with the thorn wounds, the scars on her head change almost every time the scene changes. And when she goes out and wears the head scarf, it only covers to the hair line but she no longer has any marks.

Correction: Not true. The scarf is pulled down over her forehead almost to her eyebrows.

Hornblower: The Duchess and The Devil picture

Corrected entry: As Hornblower and his crew are rescuing the shipwreck survivors, Horatio says, "Olroyd, throw him a rope". Pure heresy. No professional seaman would ever, under any circumstances, call a line a rope.

Correction: Seaman used the word "rope" then, and still do today. There are "rope-makers" who make "rope" on "rope-walks" and store it in "rope-houses", there are "foot-ropes", "bolt ropes", "tiller ropes", "check ropes", "dip ropes", and not to mention the the sailor's nemesis, a petty officer with an evil temper and a "rope end." A rope is a length of cordage, a line is a rope that has been given a specific job.

Brokedown Palace picture

Corrected entry: Alice begins narrating the story, through a tape she sent to Hank. In the middle of the film, Hank is no longer listening to Alice's story on tape, so obviously the narration stops. However, at the very end, Alice is heard narrating again - how is this possible considering she was never a true "narrator," it was just Hank listening to her tape?

Correction: The tape that Alice sends to Hank is the reason Hank becomes the girls lawyer. halfway into the film he finishes listening to the tape and then approches them in the jail. At the end it is just her narrating her explaination of why she did what she did, thus ending the movie.

Go (1999)

Go picture

Corrected entry: When Scott Wolf and Jay Mohr are eating Christmas dinner at Burke and Irene's house, they make a big deal over which wine to choose. They finally decide on white, because it goes better with ham. But when they are eating, everyone has a glass of white wine except Burke. He seems to have red wine. Maybe he poured himself a glass of something else, but there doesn't seem to be another bottle on the table. Plus, they made such a big deal over the white wine. I don't see why he would have red wine after that.

Correction: Actually if you look at the table rather carefully you will notice that Burke and Irene both have glasses of red wine and that up Irene's end of the table there is the open bottle of red wine. I assume this was because they couldn't make up their mind which wine to drink but the two (Scoff Wolfe and Jay Mohr) said white that they drank the red and gave the lads the white.

Eyes Wide Shut picture

Corrected entry: In scenes showing Tom Cruise driving in a cab to the pivotal orgy scene, apparently in or near Glen Cove, Long Island, the road markings are clearly from the UK film locations in which the film was shot.

Correction: The night highway shot is from the interchange between the Grand Central Parkway and the Long Island Expressway (signs say LaGuardia, Midtown Tunnel, Eastern LI). I see no markings on the other streets that would be characteristically British. While most of the movie was shot in the UK, many of the exteriors were shot in and around NYC.

Snow Falling on Cedars picture

Corrected entry: Hatsue is born and raised in the U.S, yet she speaks with a noticeable Japanese accent. If you learn a language before 7 (as Hatsue surely would have done, starting school at 6 or 7 for first grade) it is very unlikely you will have an accent, even if you speak other languages as well.

Correction: My 8 yr old cousin speaks with a broad Welsh accent despite being born and raised in Canada and attending a French speaking school. Both her parents are Welsh and she has picked up the accent from them.

Mickey Blue Eyes picture

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie the last items in an auction are not delivered in time for the auction. Major auction houses have the art in advance (usually a week or more and specially insured) for a showing, so there would not be a question of undelivered items.

Correction: They did order the paintings way in advance, it is just that the delivery company is terrible at deliveries, and if the auction house didn't accept the paintings then they would have no more auctions to do, and would have to cancel the showings.

Hornblower: The Frogs and the Lobsters picture

Corrected entry: Sir Edward Pellew meets with Lord Hood at the beginning of the film, to be given orders to transport and support a Royalist invasion of France. According the A&E's timeline, this meeting takes place in 1797, however, at that time, Hood was governor of Greenwich Hospital, not a member of the British Admiralty.

Correction: This is a fictional story that happens to use a few historical individuals as characters, not a documentary covering real events. As such, the filmmakers are under no obligation to be accurate to the personal histories of those individuals.

The Bachelor picture

Corrected entry: As Renee Zellweger's character, Anne, is climbing up the fire escape in the final scene, she is not wearing the tiara in one scene, and she is in the next. She is too far up the ladder for her friend to have passed it to her.

Correction: The friend, Natalie, rips the tiara off of another girl's head and puts it on Anne's before she even gets to the ladder.

Crazy in Alabama picture

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie, the narrator mentions that Lucille Vinson (Melanie Griffith) has seven children. Later in the movie, during the courtroom scene where Lucille attempts to justify murdering her husband, she says that he kept her pregnant for 54 months of her life. That would only be six children.

Correction: She had twins.

Corrected entry: Cuba Gooding Jr. freaks out at non-threatening sudden stimuli, but is stoney faced when the "animal" (Anthony Hopkins) lurches at him.

Correction: He's a psychologist. He was expecting it to happen, from his observations of Hopkins' behaviour.

Corrected entry: We know that there are more girls at the orphanage than just the ones that sleep in the same room as Annie. At least 4 or 5 other girls are seen during the song "Little Girls. When Ms. Hannigan leaves Lily in charge of the orphanage she tells her she can not leave the children alone, and so when Lily goes to Mr. Warbucks' home she takes the children with her. But she only brings Annie's roommates so where are the rest? If she'd decided to leave them alone, or with a babysitter, why not just leave Annie's roommates there too?

littlestar

Correction: Annie's roommates know and care about her. These girls squeeze the truth out of Lily about what's going on, and then make Lily doubt Rooster. The girls who were concerned about Annie followed Lily of their own volition to come to Annie's aid. Lily, being a criminal and admittedly not motherly, left the other girls behind because she cared more about getting her cut than making sure Miss Hannigan wouldn't get in trouble for leaving the kids alone.

200 Cigarettes picture

Corrected entry: Between the time Bridget gives the matches to the taxi driver and the shot in which she walking towards Caitlyn by the door, Caitlyn is no where to be seen. (01:22:45)

Correction: Caitlyn gave the matches to the cabbie, not Bridget. That was her method of picking up men.

More 200 Cigarettes corrections

Correction: This is a mistake but an intentional one. In the audio commentary by Billy Crystal and Robert De Niro on the DVD Billy Crystal explains that this scene is a shot for shot copy of a scene in the Godfather. This includes this mistake.
