Trivia: After burning and exploding a car, Anton Chigurh enters a pharmacy called Mike Zoss Pharmacy, to steal syringes, antibiotics and other stuff. The Coen brothers hung out at the real "Mike Zoss Drugs" located in a small shopping center call Texa Tonka, in St. Louis Park, a first ring suburb west of Minneapolis, Minnesota, when they were growing up and named it after him in the film as an homage. Mike Zoss Productions is the name of their production company (also named after the same man). "Mr. Zoss never asked us to leave," the brothers told Vanity Fair in 2011. "Out of gratitude we named our production company after him." The drugstore, founded in 1950, was later run by Mike's son Barry.

The Brave One (2007)

Other mistake: In the end credits, the character played by Tina Sloan is listed as "Stationary Saleswoman". The correct spelling of this character should be "Stationery Saleswoman", as she sells stationery. She doesn't sell while standing in one spot.

Suspect (1987)

Continuity mistake: When Kathleen goes to talk to Carl, her client, while he's in restraints she writes "You're deaf, aren't you!" on a legal pad then sits on his bed. She's holding her Sharpie in her hand, cap end up. When the perspective changes to Carl's, the Sharpie is cap end down. The shots go back and forth another time the same way.

Continuity mistake: When Nancy goes to the police station in her dream, she looks down at Rod through a window as he sleeps in his cell. The first shot shows him sleeping completely on top of the covers but when Freddy enters the cell, Rod is partially covered with a sheet.

The Family Stone (2005)

Continuity mistake: For the first few minutes of the film (as all the children are arriving and getting situated) Diane Keaton's sweater that's tied around her shoulders disappears and reappears at least twice. It's a contiguous scene with different shots so there would be no reason or time for her to remove it and replace it.

Poltergeist (1982)

Continuity mistake: Right after JoBeth Williams and Craig T Nelson joke with Dr. Lesh about not showing the tapes of their haunting on "60 Minutes" or "That's Incredible", JoBeth walks to the table with Dr. Lesh's flask in her hand. As she walks from the sink, there's a silver cap on it. When she gets to the table, the cap is gone. She couldn't have removed it out of sight, she had a coffee cup in her other hand.

Continuity mistake: When the family is leaving Uncle Earl's repair shop, they all put their seatbelts on at the same time. In the next shot, Dorothy leans over and gives Nate a kiss and her seatbelt is not on. The next shot is of the whole family and none of their seatbelts are on.

My Blue Heaven (1990)

Deliberate mistake: After the first scene where Hannah's ex-husband walks in without knocking and picks up the kids, Hannah is looking at some family pictures including her, her ex-husband, and the kids (supposedly taken when they were still married). But in the pictures they're all wearing the exact same clothes that they were in the previous scene. Could be a coincidence but that seems doubtful.

Fever Pitch (2005)

Fever Pitch mistake picture

Other mistake: Near the end when Lindsey goes to Fenway to stop Ben from selling his tickets, she borrows binoculars from someone to find him across the field. She's looking through the wrong end. The way she's holding them, everything would look tiny, and yet she still sees him.

Runaway Jury (2003)

Plot hole: When the lunch was late, wouldn't the bailiff have been wondering why and checking with the restaurant? She knew that the jury was in the room waiting.

Dragonfly (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Joe is leaving the dinner party after talking to the grief counselor, he puts on his jacket and the collar of his sweater is flat underneath it. The camera cuts away and when you see him again his collar is standing up closer to his neck. Then the camera cuts away and his collar is flat under his jacket when it comes back to him again.

What Lies Beneath (2000)

Question: When Norman says the guy "that wrote that book he loves" (Shumway?) congratulated him on Spencer's Theorem, then Claire says "He didn't know your father was dead?" and Norman says "He knew". What does one thing have to do with the other? I've seen this movie at least 20 times and I can't figure out this conversation.

Ingabritzen

Chosen answer: Spencer's theorem was Norman's father's theorem. Norman wants to be greater than his father was, so to be accidentally complemented on something that his father did would be bad enough. To say that the guy knows that his father is dead is to imply that the guy probably insulted him intentionally.

Myridon

Continuity mistake: When the family comes into the mansion, they're wet from running in the rain. Eddie Murphy's lapels are sort of rumpled and his wife's hair is wet. By the time they get to the dining room, they're dry and Eddie's suit looks like it's been pressed.

Veronica Guerin (2003)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Veronica is sitting at her computer working and her husband is upset with her, she disconnects her headphones from the stereo, pulls them off, and puts them around her neck. When she stands up and starts dancing to the music, they're on her head and she pulls them off again.

The Net (1995)

Stupidity: When Angela goes back to her house and finds that it's being sold, why are the cops letting her busybody neighbor hang around, ask her questions, and give opinions about her answers? If this were to happen for real, I think they'd ask the neighbor if she could identify her and then send her home.
