During the scene where the Japanese are being rounded up and taken to the Internment Camp, the camera is panning over the crowds of people walking down the street. Half way through this scene, there is a woman and a little girl, who seems to be carrying a stuffed Elmo! Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

Entry Hatsue is born and raised in the U.S, yet she speaks with a noticeable Japanese accent. If you learn a language before 7 (as Hatsue surely would have done, starting school at 6 or 7 for first grade) it is very unlikely you will have an accent, even if you speak other languages as well. [My 8 yr old cousin speaks with a broad Welsh accent despite being born and raised in Canada and attending a French speaking school. Both her parents are Welsh and she has picked up the accent from them.]
