eXistenZ picture

Corrected entry: Michael has had an epidural so powerful that he loses the use of his legs, yet he can tell when Allegra sprays the small of his back - the site of the injection - with a lubricant that he detects as being cold. Not possible.

Correction: SPOILER ALERT - They are in the Existenz game at the time and nothing is real. (In fact it's more complicated than that!) If the 'real' Michael doesn't know how epidurals work in real life he might think he can feel the cold spray.

Passport to Paris picture

Corrected entry: When they get the McDonalds food, Mary-Kate says, "Wait, let's make sure it's all there." Ashley opens up the first paper bag and said "Yeah, two hamburgers and two large fries." But they couldn't have seen the food when they pull out the McDonalds bag, it's closed. And they didn't open up both bags.

Correction: There is only one bag.

The Boondock Saints picture

Corrected entry: As the police are investigating the shootout at the hitman's poker game, the first gun outlined on the ground has a red handle and is not a revolver. None of Il Duce's semi-automatic pistols have a red handle, as you can see when he reveals his 6 firearms.

Correction: Watch carefully as Il Duce drops his first pair of guns, one of them most definitely has a red handle.

The Iron Giant picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where the two boys fall from the building and the giant catches them, the boys would still be very hurt, as the giant catches them just before they hit the ground by putting his hand out, since his hand is made of metal it wouldn't do much help, in actual fact landing in the snow would be better for the kids.

Correction: If you look closely, the giant brings his hand down with the kids as he's catching them, therefore taking away the momentum. Like if you throw something in the air and catch it with your hand still, it'll hurt much more than if you move your hand down with it.

Stuart Little picture

Corrected entry: Stuart is a resident of the orphanage, but he doesn't wear the same uniform/clothes as the other children living there. (00:02:47)

Correction: The people who own the orphanage probably didn't want to bother making a uniform for a mouse.

Detroit Rock City picture

Corrected entry: When the boys are driving the Volvo to Detroit the drivers' side window is open then every other shot it is closed. It is open and closed about six times in 30 seconds.

Correction: In the film it appears as 60 seconds, but there are time lapses between shots, it is not one continuous scene. Filmmakers don't show the times where there is nothing happening during the trip.

Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies picture

Corrected entry: Although the one of the two thieves at the beginning wishes never to have been born (which is granted by the Wishmaster), some scenes later his girlfriend is looking at a photograph which shows him. The photograph should have disappeared too.

Correction: Remember that the Djinn often doesn't grant the exact wish that his victims make - indeed, if he had done so here it would have caused a Grandfather Paradox. Instead the Djinn took a different interpretation of the wish and reversed the thief's ageing process beyond the point where he would have been born, killing him without deleting him from history.

Man on the Moon picture

Corrected entry: Tony Clifton was supposed to guest-star on a "Taxi" episode from the first season. On the set, one can see Christopher Lloyd and Carol Kane, who didn't join the show until the second and third seasons, respectively.

Correction: It is not shown that it contains an episode of the first season. Could be another season as well.

American Beauty picture

Corrected entry: When Carolyn was driving home before she noticed the new car in the driveway, if you notice, she starts turning the wheel when in the background, she's going straight. (01:11:15)

Correction: Carolyn is turning the wheel because there is a curve in the road. If she stays in line with the road the appearance to the viewers perception is that she is continuing to go straight.

Held Up picture

Corrected entry: In the scene. Where Mary talks to her boyfriend over the bull horn. When the officer hands the bull horn to the boyfriend it is red, after deliberations with his girlfriend it becomes green in the same scene. The mistake is toward the end of the movie. This mistake was found on DVD.

Correction: I just watched this and the bullhorn that the boyfriend (Sonny) has is green and stays green the whole scene, The bullhorn Mary has is red.

East is East picture

Corrected entry: When the family goes to the phone box to ring Nazir, a coloured intercity train passes behind them. The film is set in 1971, but that type of train was not introduced until the mid 80s. Also, if you look closely at the house in the background, you can see the flashes from the electrified line, which again didn't happen until the mid 80s.

Correction: Actually, the InterCity trains (125/HST) were introduced in the early 70s, also, it may not have been the overhead lines but the actual rails of the train, and around that time, rails were electrified on many railways.

Bravo Two Zero picture

Corrected entry: After the team has had its first contact, Andy McNab kicks over a dead Iraqi soldier. Look at his neck just as he rolls over, and around his eye. You will see that the actor playing the dead soldier is a white man with dark makeup. (00:41:38)

Correction: The person who kicks over the dead Iraqi is actual Chris Ryan, as seen by his German field cap.

The Cider House Rules picture

Corrected entry: When Homer leaves the orphanage the trees along the drive are in their October colours - yet just a bit farther on, the trees that should have autumn colours, are fully green. The first Fall Homer is away the season seems to go on and on with very little sign of leaf turning. It's also highly unlikely that anyone would be driving around much at night in a convertible at that time of year in Maine. It would be extremely uncomfortable.

Correction: Just because it's fall doesn't necessarily mean it's cold. Also, leaves turn at different intervals depending on a number of factors. Throughout the first part of the film, trees are turning.

The Talented Mr. Ripley picture

Corrected entry: In the scene in the club when Jude Law is playing the saxophone, you never actually see his fingers move while he's playing.

Correction: Law actually learned to play the saxophone for the film, and if you watch closely during the club scene in Naples when both Damon and Law perform, his fingers do indeed move in time with the proper notes.

Blast from the Past picture

Corrected entry: In the scene of Adam selling his baseball cards, we first see a shot of classic baseball cards from various years in his cigar box. Then in the next shot the shopkeeper holds the cards up to inspect them and we see the backs of the cards all have a uniform white background. These are obviously props.

Correction: If you look closely the cards do have writing on the backs. Older cards did not have the stats listed on them.

Teaching Mrs. Tingle picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Leigh Ann is presenting her report, she says something about witches being burned in Salem. No witches were ever burned in Salem, they were hanged. (00:11:50)

Correction: A character mistake, and a very common one at that. Besides, Mrs Tingle fails Lee Anne on her report - perhaps that's why?

Mystery Men picture

Corrected entry: In the beginning after Captain Amazing defeats the red eyes a reporter tells him that he has lost his Pepsi contract and when he gets in his limo he rips off the logo. When the Mystery Men try to save him in Casanova Frankenstein's mansion he still has his Pepsi logo on.

Correction: Time passes between the Red Eye battle and when Captain Amazing confronts Casanova. Captain Amazing probably has a whole closet full of suits and grabbed one that still had the Pepsi logo. It's also possible that he continues to wear the logo to promote the image that nothing's wrong and he's in control of the situation (although he isn't), which is in keeping with his character.

The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc picture

Corrected entry: The scene where Joan witnesses her sister's rape and murder is a complete fabrication. This never happened to Catherine d'Arc, let alone in front of Joan.

Krista

Correction: This is not a documentary and it is unnecessary for the story to follow historical facts.

Summer of Sam picture

Corrected entry: In one scene there is a POW/MIA flag being flown on a building. This type of POW flag was not flown regularly during this time period. It was first flown on National POW/MIA Recognition Day in 1988.

wizard_of_gore

Correction: The POW/MIA flag flew over the White House in 1982, and was designed (and flown) from 1971. At first it was meant for small groups of people, so it's reasonable to say by 1977 someone in New York had a POW/MIA flag for personal reasons.

Lake Placid picture

Corrected entry: If indeed a crocodile can/will not attack underwater, then why does the crocodile in this movie do so several times? Whether crocodiles actually *CAN* or *DO* attack underwater in real life is all fine and dandy, but in this movie, with this movie's rules of nature, how come Oliver Platt's character is wrong?

redbaron2000

Correction: Hector is kind of a jerk/jackass so it's not unusual for him to make a comment to tick everyone, more specifically the sheriff, off. He might have known the actual truth or this is a character mistake, or him just being a "know-it-all".
