The Legend of Zelda

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: Zelda trips over some tree roots trying to save Link from Ganon and then an Octoroc wraps its tentacles around her. The underside of the tentacles are shaded much darker due to being in shadow. But as the tentacles wrap around her, the side that is in shade on part move the other side and remain dark, when the light should be shining on it from the other side. It is not simply the coloring of the creature as in a following shot there is no dark areas at all due to no shade. And in other shots also the lighting effects where the dark areas are.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Zelda says Link will always have her and they will stay friends, there is an error in her animation. She puts her arms out to her sides as she says "You still have me" and then instantly her arms go back to being in front of her in a single frame only for her to extend them out at her sides again at normal speed as she walks towards him.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Zelda comes into the shot to push Frog Link out of the way of the mummy attacking, look closely and you can see that Link starts getting pushed out of the way before Zelda's hands even come close to reaching him.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: On the three headed dragon, once the middle head starts talking about how the girl looks good enough to eat, the head on the right (our perspective) suddenly passes through the neck of the middle head. In the same moment, the light green area on the left head's neck suddenly increases towards the base, making the dark green area disappear.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: After Link eats the fly and Zelda turns from him and says never mind, Link begins to speak and as he does, a random white spot suddenly appears on his head for a brief moment and then fades away.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: As Link and Zelda are walking along in the forest with Spryte, Link talks about how it was Spryte's kiss that cured him. As he says this, he looks up at Spryte while he talks, and oddly in several frames a couple times, Link's head separates from his body. Then goes back on in some weird animation glitch.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: Once Link and Zelda make a break for it, Ganon is shown standing at the hole Link blasted in his wall. Lying over Ganon are several large, tattered pieces of the brown rug that Link had made fall on him earlier. The rug is thick, yet in the spot going over his belly, you can see the drawing lines of Ganon's waistband showing through.

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: All the Moblins are shown to have one of their bottom teeth sticking up out of their mouth longer than the others on the bottom of their mouth. And in all of them the long tooth is on the right side of their mouth. When one charges Link, you see it's reflection in Link's sword, yet despite it being a reflection, the long tooth is still on the right side of the Moblin's mouth.

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: Link ducks a blow from the Moblin’s staff that breaks the vase on the table next to him. The shock knocks the picture of Zelda off the wall that falls and shatters when it hits the table. Some of the debris fall off the side, but then inexplicably just hovers in the air. A small part of the picture frame hovering in the air on the left of the screen. You can tell this is just the animation of the breaking picture was not finished, as part of the debris also flies up above it and just freezes in mid air.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: After Frog Link cuts Zelda’s chains and rescues her, she says "thank goodness you’re here". He responds and as he talks, in a few frames the green around his mouth becomes several shades lighter all of a sudden and then goes back, showing a fault in the animation drawings.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: As the Triforce of Wisdom is telling Link to seek out the Witch in the Walls, Link still has the robe around him that he was using to hide his appearance from Spryte. As he speaks and moves, the part over his right shoulder keeps flashing and changing colors from the white of the robe, to the brown of his shirt.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: In Link's room after he shows Spryte his new frog form, the Triforce of Wisdom begins speaking. When shown, the Triforce is misshapen and lopsided on one end, poorly drawn. Then returns to normal in the following shot.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: After Frog Link awakens and sees the two Red Dealers, he licks his lips and says "Yum!" but he ribbits just before that. When he does, there is a fault in his drawing on his right eye, which moves and out of focus for a moment then back, almost like an eye twitch. But nowhere near intentional.

Quantom X

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: After Zelda pushes Link out of the way while he's still confused over his new form, the mummy tries to grab Zelda twice. But it's the exact same frames repeated twice. The move of it stepping forward and grabbing while Zelda ducks, then the frames go in reverse, and then are repeated. The mouth of the mummy moves the same way, though she only grunts on the first grab. And just before the second grab starts, when the arms are back at the origin, the screen dims slightly for a split second as some error in the animation.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: Once Link finally shows up, the damsel celebrates and the three headed dragon gets ready to finally implement the plan. As his heads look at Link, the head on the left, its right, has a sudden jump in its neck. Instantly, the dark scales of the back of its neck, and the light scales of the bottom switch spots and the dragon didn't even turn its neck, just looked up slightly. And the scales of its neck above it head did not switch, making his neck look like it just broke and turned before it switches.

00:03:20

Quantom X

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: After Zelda hears the damsel scream, she sees a three headed dragon attacking her. The damsel is standing with her back against a large rock cliff that has a ledge at the top. The dragon is not even close to this rock, and is standing in front of it. But as its heads spasm around, the one on the right passes over the drawing of the rock, defying the laws of physics.

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: Once Zelda hears and responds to the scream of distress, she finds a three headed dragon about to eat the damsel. The dragon is waving its three heads around in a frenzy in excitement of its new prey. This is very poorly animated however. The layers of the animation overlap in several frames leaving a very distracting, almost ghost like trail of the necks that is not supposed to be there. It is not an effect of movement. And the necks are jerky in position, especially the one on the right. The dark and light scales on its necks keep changing too. In an instant, the dark scales on the back of their necks will switch places with the lighter scales on the underside of their necks, then back and forth like they are blinking.

Sing for the Unicorn - S1-E5

Revealing mistake: After defeating the giant Tin Suits, Link catches Zelda while she's falling from the air. In this shot, you can see where a trap door will open up in the floor below Link. Now, it is pretty normal to see doors or other objects that will move being a slightly lighter color than the surrounding things that are the same color in older cartoons, and that in itself is not a mistake. However, this time it is so blatantly obvious because the lighter area on a gray ground is a light pink.

00:08:35

Quantom X

Sing for the Unicorn - S1-E5

Revealing mistake: As it first shows Ganon on his horse with a rope around the king, look closely at his leg. For the first second or two, it is disconnected from his thigh and below the horse's wing. It then suddenly jumps up to where it's supposed to be.

00:03:10

Quantom X

Sing for the Unicorn - S1-E5

Revealing mistake: In the beginning of the episode, King Harkinian and Link walk out onto the castle walls. Neither one cast a shadow. Yes it is at night, but there are lights around and other objects like stairs and walls are seen casting shadows.

00:00:55

Quantom X

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: In rage, Ganon kills the Moblins for their failure and then teleports to his throne. He then begins talking to himself about how if he wants something done right, he has to do it himself. As his mouth moves, part of the rim of his hat won't hold its color, continually blinking from the hat's blue color, to Ganon's skin color.

00:05:50

Quantom X
The Legend of Zelda mistake picture

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: During Ganon's rant at the Moblins for failing in their attack, one angle shows two of the Moblins from behind in the Evil Jar. The one on the right is moving up and down, and his ears pass right through the glass of the jar.

00:05:25

Quantom X

Sing for the Unicorn - S1-E5

Revealing mistake: Ganon gets a rope around King Harkinian and is sitting on his Pegasus Unicorn. In a few frames as the King and rope move around, you can see the rope pass right through the Pegasus' wing.

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: As Link is helping Zelda out of the swamp, Prince Facade's hand just suddenly appears on screen. Not him moving onto screen, he just appears out of nowhere.

00:43:15

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: After Link humiliates himself and gets laughed at, he storms off and leaves the castle on his horse, Katherine. Ganon sees Link leave on Katherine through his gazing ball. The animation of the horse moving is badly done. The steps look fake and she looks like she is just sliding across the dirt for the most part.

00:39:30

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: There is one shot of the house with the wheelbarrow, while Zelda is beside it with the crossbow, that shows the side of the house. The window shutters on that side are badly drawn. They are different sizes, even on the same window, and half don't even line up with the windows right. Especially the left shutter on the right window.

00:31:55

Quantom X

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: Link blocks a bomb thrown at him into the air. As it is coming back down, the motion of it was lazily animated. The bomb has spikes on it, and to indicate the one pointed directly at the camera, it is shown with a very slight point towards the top of the screen so it doesn't look like just a gray dot. But the bomb is spinning, and so the point goes around with it, despite being directly at the camera and looks like a clock hand.

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: After crashing on his skeleton-drawn throne, Ganon stands up and orders the remaining 3 skeletons to attack Link and Zelda. Watch his head as they pass by him. At two different times while they pass by, Ganon's head randomly jumps out of place and onto his shoulder for a frame or two, then back where it goes.

00:12:30

Quantom X

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: When fighting the dragon, the dragon's fire has absolutely no effect on any shadows or lighting at all.

00:09:40

Quantom X
The Legend of Zelda mistake picture

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: As Link rolls off the dragon and lands by a flower pot, he has no shadow. But other things around him do, including the flower pot.

00:09:45

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: After Zelda is kidnapped by the Zola, Prince Facade rushes out the castle door with a giant Spider hanging on him. Watch closely as he opens the door. For several frames as the door opens, there is nobody there. But once the door is a little past half open, Prince Facade and the spider suddenly just appear in the shot almost already out the door.

00:41:00

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: After Link storms off after being laughed at, there is a shot showing his medals on the floor in front of the door. The designs at the bottom of the door are poorly drawn and misshapen. Being a nice, royal castle like this, they wouldn't have imperfect metal plating designs on their doors. This is just poor art and was likely rushed.

00:38:30

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: Trying to impress Zelda, Link walks into the room where she and her father are listening to Prince Facade's tall tales, wearing his idea of a prince outfit, complete with blue boots that have spurs on them. As he walks forward, the spurs keep passing right through the opposite foot like it's not there.

00:38:10

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: While Link is sword laser zapping the first two Tin Suits, one shot shows a house behind Link. The door on that house looks like it was rushed when it was drawn or the whole house was. There is a window that looks normal enough, but maybe slightly on the large side. But right below the window, there is a door that is way too small. It looks ridiculous and out of place, especially when compared to the window.

00:31:00

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: There is a hole left in the barn after the Octorok throws Link through it. The hole in the boards overlaps onto the support column in one spot, which makes no sense. Especially since the next shot shows the hole nowhere near the support column.

00:32:10

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: After Link begins walking to the castle, the scene changes to Ganon's lair in Death Mountain. It first shows the exterior of the volcano and you can see smoke coming from the top. The smoke is obviously a looped animation, where the same frames are repeated over and over again to show continuum. This in of itself is not a mistake, as animation loops are fairly common in cartoons, especially during this era. But the jump between the first and last frames of this smoke is so jarring it makes it painfully obvious it is looped and poorly done.

00:35:10

Quantom X

The White Knight - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: Link runs towards the wheelbarrow to launch himself at the Tin Suits. Before he does, there is a close up shot of two of the Tin Suits marching at him. The one on the left has the eye holes on his helmet poorly drawn and look misshapen compared to the Tin Suit on the right.

00:30:35

Quantom X

Cold Spells - S1-E2

Revealing mistake: As Ganon is making off with the Triforce of Wisdom, he looks back and sees Link and Zelda catching up to him on horseback. He yells "Blast! They're coming!" He then looks back forward. Watch closely, as he turns his head, the Triforce, which is neatly tucked under his arm, randomly jumps out of his hand for a couple frames, and then goes back.

00:25:30

Quantom X

Cold Spells - S1-E2

Revealing mistake: Ganon goes on a monologue rant after the bird reports to him. There is a half circle design on the front of his helmet just below the front spike. As he moves and says the word Triforce, that half circle vanishes and then comes back. It also did this before only a few seconds earlier. All in the same shot.

00:18:40

Quantom X

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: As Link leans in to kiss Zelda, he gets slapped. Watch closely at the top left of the screen. A random blue dot appears for a split second as he is slapped and then vanishes.

00:04:05

Quantom X
The Legend of Zelda mistake picture

The Ringer - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: When Link calls down to Zelda from the tower, you can see a fault in the drawing as Zelda moves. There is a low wall around her on the balcony, with flowers and vines on it. As she moves, you can see some of her dress pass right through the wall and vines towards the lower right.

00:01:50

Quantom X

Kiss 'N Tell - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: After hearing Spryte scream, Ganon teleports into the cave area and looks around. As he does, an odd animation glitch of a blue spot suddenly appears above his head just to the right for a few frames and then vanishes. It's almost the size of his head.
