Continuity mistake: When Daws walks up to Kuraki, Kuraki asks Daws that if he got the Crabe Extra tin. At this moment, Kuraki's face looks seemingly normal and perfectly fine. The shot then cuts over to Daws taking out the Crabe Extra tin from his pocket, but when the shot cuts back over to Kuraki, his face is suddenly a lot paler. (00:01:40)

Continuity mistake: Kuraki walks through the cloud of fog and Daws is shown to be noticing this from the other side of the street. As soon as he finishes walking out of the fog cloud, he is shown to be standing right next to a lamp post and continues on walking. In the following shot after, that shows Daws looking at him, at least 2 - 3 steps are heard from Kuraki walking, but when the shot cuts back to Kuraki, he is still standing next to the lamp post. Continuity mistake: After Kuraki walks through the cloud of fog, Daws is shown hiding behind a building. In the big close-up shot of Daws looking of the street, Daws is shown to be tugging onto the collar on his coat and pulling it forward. In the sudden shot afterwards, that shows the camera behind Daws, the collar on his coat is suddenly sitting there freely, not being tugged on at all. (00:01:30)

Continuity mistake: After rescuing Calculus, Haddock then hugs him. He has gloves on in this shot, but the gloves disappear in the next. (00:39:50)

Continuity mistake: A soldier guarding the hotel picks up a smashed light bulb with 1cm of glass on the edge. Shot cuts and there is now about 4cm of glass on the edge. The smashed glass around the bulb also disappears. (00:35:30)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin and Haddock walk through a corridor with two drunk men, Tintin opens a door. The key hole on the door is blue. Continuity mistake: As Tintin, Haddock and Snowy are running whilst being shot at, Snowy is holding Calculus's umbrella with his teeth. The handle is facing the right as this happens. Continuity mistake: In the shot where Tintin picks up the cigarette, it is a flipped shot. Note the "M" is at the end of the logo where as all other shots of these cigarettes have the "M" at the start of the logo. (00:26:45)

Continuity mistake: When Professor Topolino talks to Tintin and Haddock at a table, there is a wide shot showing Haddock looking downwards. In the next shot, Haddock is suddenly looking at Topolino. (00:18:00)

Revealing mistake: Tintin says to Professor Topolino it wasn't Calculus who tied him up. The next shot shows a timer on a bomb ticking. As each second ticks, the minute hand on the clock keeps ticking backwards or forwards. (00:17:50)
Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
