The Arrow That Is Not Aimed - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the scene at the King Kamehameha club, Rick and TC are laughing their pants off at the whole ninja story. Magnum says "Come on, guys!" and two people - a woman with a blue swimsuit and pareo and a man with a purple tanktop with a large light strip - are moving across the street. Those same extras are recycled later in the scene, simultaneously by the sea when Magnum's story is called 'a little far-fetched' and walking in the club area right after. (00:15:30)

Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum goes to the souvenir shop, just as he starts to tell the guy he's interested in Japanese pottery, a black tape mark is visible on the floor. Then when Tozan starts going after the guy with his sword, the black T-mark is becomes visible as well, and Tozan stands at the tape mark and the guy stands at the T-mark. (00:31:40)

Revealing mistake: Gallagher, the Tourist Shop Owner has been fished by Magnum but, as one of the doc workers says, he's been "Down there long time, bro, pretty bad shape" and he is "in intensive care, unconscious" later in the episode. However, just before the camera cuts away he opens his eyes. (00:35:10)

The Arrow That Is Not Aimed - S3-E13

Character mistake: At the end of the episode, Magnum says "You know what they say about samurai swords - you unsheathe 'em, you gotta draw blood!", but throughout the episode, Tozan drew his sword on Magnum and the villain and no blood has been drawn - in case of Magnum, there was no intention of it either.

Other mistake: Magnum mispronounces the word 'seppuku' calling it it 'seppuki', prompting Higgins to correct him. He plays the role of the usual Westerner who is unfamiliar with the word and concept. But in the previous season, in 2-9, "The Taking of Dick McWilliams", not only he already had to deal with the prospect of ritual suicide, but he spontaneously mentioned the word himself ("Seppuku? You're willing to let your daughter kill herself?") with the other person simply mentioning a vague 'honorable thing to do'.

Almost Home - S3-E10

Magnum: I could appeal to his heart.
Lieutenant Maggie Poole: Yeah. And his stomach.
Magnum: Oh, come on! That food stuff, that was just an excuse. Listen, underneath that stomach was a heart as big as...that stomach.
