As the isolated villagers have never heard of doctors, Teddy would have no way to know that "Doctor" was a title/profession and not simply part of Barrows' name. He should have asked, "What kind of a name is Doctor?"

Continuity mistake: When the pawnbroker closes his metal gate, he's facing the wire mesh. When the shot cuts, he's instantly facing away from it. (00:10:15)
Trivia: The original ending of the episode would have Norma pressing the button and getting the money after Arthur dies in a train accident. When Norma asks the stranger why Arthur had to die, the stranger responded, "Did you really think you knew your husband?"
