The Car - S2-E24

Corrected entry: Throughout most of the episode, The Car is a standard black with chrome trimming. But at the end it's suddenly beige when Johnboy and the kids are polishing it for their first ride.

Correction: At the end it's not "suddenly beige." Mid-episode Mary Ellen mentions a family project to, "Design you a new-looking car" and Erin adds, "We can paint it." Soon John-Boy says, "I'd like to paint it a nice dignified shade of tan." In the penultimate scene John-Boy drives Hyder and Martha Rudge back home. Time passes offscreen. It cuts to the final scene with Mary Ellen and Erin placing their new cut/sewn seat covers in the newly painted tan car, and nobody is "polishing it for their first ride."

Super Grover

Correction: While the kids are entertaining themselves with hand shadow puppets, Esther pulls John, not John-Boy, aside and asks, "Isn't Zeb with you?" In fact, twice she says "Zeb" to John, about his own father. And later while Zeb is sitting on Ike's pool table, Zeb says, "Esther" when he's talking to John-Boy. Zeb does this again with John-Boy when he learns Esther's going to the dance. This type of thing occurs throughout the series; it's normal.

Super Grover

Correction: That's not a mistake, character or otherwise. She simply used her husband's name. She even says Zeb several times through the episode. My own Grandparents and parents have switched between using their spouses' names or saying "your ___" depending on the situation.

The Move - S9-E8

Visible crew/equipment: While the family starts packing up their car with John's suitcases and boxes, right after John says, "I just don't want any kind of a big scene," a cluster of boom mics dip into view and stays there at the top of the screen, over Mary Ellen and Jason. Then in the closeup, as John agrees that they will all go see Olivia, a crew member wearing a blue shirt (with a front pocket) is visible in the vehicle's window reflection. (00:44:40)

John Walton: I hate this draft job, Liv. I can't stand playing God to my neighbors' sons.

The Outrage: Part 1 - S9-E1

Trivia: While everyone is at the table eating supper and talking, little John Curtis taps on John's shoulder, then John turns and asks "What?" John Curtis points to his pants and excitedly says, "I got new pants," and John says, "I see that. Who got you those? Your mommy?" Then John Curtis looks offscreen, away from the other actors on set, and replies, "No, from Pat," (no characters named Pat are on the show) and without missing a beat, John responds, "From Pat? Where does she live? On the next farm?" And John Curtis answers, "Yeah," amidst all the giggles we can hear, so John answers with a smirk, "Okay, good!" This is such a hilariously precious unscripted moment, and great they decided to leave it in the episode. (00:26:15)
