Show generally

Other mistake: The Air People were wiped out by the Fire Nation through Suzon's Comet enhancing them, we even have confirmation of this by the dishevelled exposed skeleton of a VIP of them (presumably any Air Nomad who escaped would have given Monk Giatsu honorable burial), but we never see scorch marks on the Air Nomad buildings or the aforementioned skeleton.

The Southern Air Temple - S1-E3

Other mistake: When the gang is in the Hall of Statues of Past Avatars, Katara points out the avatar cycle pattern of statues and Aang zeroes in on Roku's statue. The earthbender avatar statue next to Roku is of an unknown man with a sword, not Kiyoshi. (00:12:50 - 00:13:35)

The Desert - S2-E11

Other mistake: At the start, when Toph says, "I can hardly feel any vibrations out here," Aang moves his head, and it briefly duplicates. Right after that, Aang seems to shift into another position without any animation, most noticeable with his head and face. (00:01:56)

The Tales of Ba Sing Se - S2-E15

Other mistake: The Tale of Aang: After Aang lets all the animals out of the zoo, he takes out his bison whistle and blows on it. As he does so, the way he holds his staff makes it so that it's going right through his head. (00:10:28)

The Tales of Ba Sing Se - S2-E15

Other mistake: The Tale of Sokka: When Sokka delivers his final haiku to the girls, he inadvertently adds an extra syllable to the final line. In the close-up of him counting his fingers, the iris of his left eye is rendered over his hand. (00:14:42)

The Earth King - S2-E18

Other mistake: When the group goes to hug Sokka before he and Aang go to Chameleon Bay, you can briefly see that Toph is incorrectly drawn with arrow tattoos on her hands, like Aang has. This happens very fast, but you can still catch it when watching the episode normally without pausing or slowing it down. (00:20:35)

Sokka's Master - S3-E4

Other mistake: When the group is first shown inside the store, Sokka starts running forward. Toph stands behind Sokka, but as Sokka is running away from them, she is layered over him. (00:04:43)

The Beach - S3-E5

Other mistake: When Team Avatar is in the hot spring, Toph tells Aang to cover his body because she is worried someone might see his tattoos. Because Toph is blind, she shouldn't have been able to know that Aang's body wasn't covered. (00:02:44)

The Firebending Masters - S3-E13

Other mistake: When Ran and Shaw (the dragons) breathe the colorful fire around Aang and Zuko, and the camera moves down to them, Zuko's scar is on the opposite side of his face, and his sword and Aang's clothing are worn over the opposite shoulders in a mirrored shot. (00:20:01)

The Southern Raiders - S3-E16

Other mistake: When Azula attacks The Western Air Temple, there is a close up shot of her when she says that she is about to become an only child. Pay attention to the smoke coming from the airship behind her, especially above her head: it doesn't move. Even if this was remotely possible, it does move when the camera zooms out, making it a mistake nonetheless.

Suggested correction: She didn't see him (or technically, feel him), but she heard him. The actor playing her character throws the huge prop rock, and it hits the stage floor. Then, he flexes his muscles. Toph heard all this happening from her seat and then said, "I sound like a guy. A really buff guy."

The Avatar and the Firelord - S3-E6

Question: At the end of Sozin's story, he says that he wiped out the Airtemple, and we see one burning. But it isn't one of the four they visited during the three seasons. The Western Airtemple hangs from the cliff, the Northern and Southern both are on one solitary peak and it doesn't have the distinctive bridges of the Eastern Airtemple. Is it ever explained or shown which one it is in Sozin's story?

Friso94

Chosen answer: When Sozin says "So I wiped out the Air Temples," we are indeed seeing the three mountains of the Eastern Air Temple burning, with the two bridges being gone in this shot (S3-E6). This does conflict a bit with the image we see of the Eastern Air Temple, with the two bridges intact, when Aang and Appa fly to that Air Temple seeking Guru Pathik (S2-E19). This may possibly be considered a mistake, but the fact is that when we are seeing the burning of the Eastern Air Temple it's from the point of view of Zuko, who is merely reading from Sozin's autobiographical account, and envisioning everything he's reading, which in his mind includes the bridges having been destroyed.
